Sifus, need some recommendations. Recently i bought a chery eastar. Already has dvd player & 2 headrest monitors. My issue is the passengers in row 2 & 3 complaint about can't hear movie sound during drive on highway.

I notice the sound level for row 2 is quite soft, there is no speakers for row 3.

I need row 2 & row 3 passengers able to listen to song or movie during driving on highway.

I think i can allocate 1k-1.5k for this project

thank you

i think you can easily allocate some coaxials that probably can be driven straight from the HU?

else you can opt to get component sets for your front row? then another for row 2, and row 3 for your stock speakers. or if you want to prioritize the rest obviously you can put the new component set towards row 3 and keep stock as is on row 1

i am not sure if the stock HU can drive all 3 sets of speakers, worse come to worse if it couldn't, you may opt to get a 6 channel amp instead, that would cost a lot more however you can do it step by step. if you dont need the amp then 1-1.5k should be more than enough for your project.

bros,

can recommend me a good component system with priority on High quality SQ, if both good SQ & SPL will be better.

also a good SPL amped woofer.

budget for both not exceeding Rm1.2k

cherry eastar:
add a 4ch amp and change all the oem speakers to coaxial speakers, should fit in your budget.

turion64:
sq components start around 700-800 and those are entry level only, so im not sure when u say good means what level of good?

you will also need an amp to make those components sound good, maybe you can save up to 2k for both, or buy comps first amp later.

as for sub, u can add when u get the amp later, so make sure its 4ch, good sq subs start around 500, so advise u to save up to 2.5k to play sq, maybe 3k if include installation and cabling

Dudes, if I were you guys, I'd save the money on buying Mohawks or Lanzar and wait for an opportunity to buy a reputable 2nd hand set instead. Unless you know what it sounds like it's very likely you won't like Lanzar or Mohawk.

Howiechoo is the man you want to see if you're interested in less popular brands or almost considered "cap ayam" brands. He has the knack of mixing and matching these cheaper brands to deliver pretty decent sound.

CV Audio Uptown Damansara is a good place to go checkout too since they have mid-range to high-end speakers to compare with. My Myvi was setup at CV Audio with stock HU at a total cost of RM2.4k give or take and it sounds pretty good.

If you have a way bigger budget and want to go for ultra highend so much so that once you test their systems you'll never want anything lower end, Audio Creations in NZT PJ can do you good too.

Lastly sound is subjective. What I like you may not like. What you like I may not like. Best thing for you guys to do is setup a ICE TT and we can let you test to your hearts content the systems we have in our cars and you can decide what sort of sound you want then it'll be easier to recommend.

most entry levels from reputable brands these days have gone far better than those "entry levels" from the list could perform smile.gif

of course, they stayed, and probably their price as well. so if you opt for that (which is typically much cheaper than entry levels from reputable brands), that is your call.

again let me stress out: what you pay is what you get smile.gif
