To be honest I'm not a home hifi kaki. I've only seen what the bewith looks like, haven't really tested or used one. Probably a good idea to PM mnkh78 since he's a hifi guy and sells loads of hifi goodies

Besides Warranty , others are same as the original quality sounds ? And does it reliable? Im getting Pioneer AVH-X8550BT .

Hi everyone, I just got a 2nd hand car and I hate the sound and the HU is just radio and CD player so I want to change the HU. Since I wanna change the HU, I thought might as well change the whole sound system.

Problem is I'm on a budget but if it doesn't stray too far from my budget, I don't mind saving up a little more cash.

AP means it is not imported by Pioneer Msia only, sound IS the same since they are from the SAME manufacture.

Reliable? Depend on your installer and who is the seller.

But if you ask me is it worth getting an AP HU? Subjective lor...

1k I can tell u honestly u can't get too far with it. Especially when you wanna get those headphones quality sound. If you must. Then I suggest you to get a head unit and front component set first. Then do soundproofing on both front doors. Save up more first. The setup above will cost around 1.5 to 2k.


Look for focal access. Boston acoustics s60. Polk audio. They might be a little more than your budget though. But they r better than those cap ayam speaker.

Many sellers in automotive garage. Spend some time searching and u shall find something that suits you. U plan to play active?

alpine cde-145e(rm800 this is over my budget...)
price is base on automotive garage, do not know still available or not...

maybe will go to active because i slowly upgrade...i plan to get a good HU 1st then the rest later..

If u plan for active. The above mentioned hu won't do the job. U need a hu with time alignment and full xover. Like pioneer p80rs or alpine 9887

if like that using electronics xover with the HU i mention can do the job?
