People go for 2-Din because of the features and also watch DVD. 1-Din have some very very good HU for pure sound.

If you are into "Sound Quality" then 1-DIN, you won't go wrong. But looking at your requirement, RM300~RM400 1-Din HU would suit you just nice.

I recommend = Buy 1 that have the features you need and suit your pocket. Just don't buy something for features that you would rarely use.

so any single din would do la?
no specific brand or model to look into or avoid?

My preference is Alpine and Pioneer.

Since you have no idea what to get, please go get Pioneer P80PRS. Sure no regret.

Thank you.

Credit cards are made so people live in credit.

I accept CC via Paypal, please do not(Never~) hesitate to own a P99.

Hi.. I have a peugeot 208. In terms of sound stage/3d feel is there. Sound quality is also nice.. Can play FLAC files. But it's lacking some bass. Bass is there.. But no deep tight bass. What do you suggest I do? Would replacing better speakers do it? Noob in car audio mod. There is bass.. And it's loud... But I would describe it as muddy hollow bass.. I want deeper meaty bass but not volume.
