First, are you connected using Wireless?

And if you are using Wireless, which wireless channel are you using?

Install the software called inSSIDer and check what are the least used channel in your area and configure your 841ND to use that channel.

disconnect your line connection 1st, and re-connect so u will get new ip from TM side,

some ip sometime r just pure bad, either too many ppl shared the same ip, or the line connection for those ip itself is bad

with bad ip, even VIP 10 can experience less than 1mb speed.. sweat.gif

highrise installation is faster then landed property.
Highrise they just tap the connection back to your existing telephone line from the MDF room and install the equipments in the particular unit. Equipments all mostly just plug in configure and ready to use.

For landed property must pull fiber to the BTU from the telephone pole, it takes even longer time if the cabling is underground. Underground cabling mostly for new neighborhoods.

Time it takes to complete installation depending on property/building type :-

Highrise office/condo : 1 hour

Landed office/house (pole) : 2 hours
Landed office/house (underground aka UG) : 4-6 hours

Just wanna let you guys know, I bought 1043ND for RM145 at viewnet. On the price list it is higher... you'd have to ask the staff at the network section for a discount.

I can assure you that is not the router issue, the router is working fine as how it is suppose to be. Someone could be hogging your internet connection or just chances are at that point of time u doing the speedtest the connection was slow.

I been on TPLink 841 for more then 7 months now. I never switched off the router from the day it came out of the box. IPTV is connected to it, my seedbox, network bluray media player, NAS server. Sometimes all of it is running at 1 go, and not forgetting my smartphone/tab and also 2 PC's are connected to it.

Here is the speedtest results. Take note that 100+ torrents are seeding in the background.

I think no one hogging my internet connection because after i tried speedtest on tplink, i change to dir 615 back and the connection is up again. i tried back to back to ensure whether unifi connection problem.
not sure whether the device is faulty or got issue with high rise building. As i read on klseet, he said got 2 ppl report at him regarding this matters (high rise building)

waiting for him to replied so much

I subscribe the RM149-5MB package, so I think it is pretty much the same with everyone. What is STB? The TV set?
Thanks.

They called me this morning and reiterate that I need to reconfirm the installation date three days before the date. They will call she said. So I guess they will call you tomorrow.

I got some question regarding the installation.
My idea is to lay the optical able to my back room then connect everything. Then use the home plug to connect to the IPTV. Thanks

From thinking of moving to 4Mbps Streamyx, to now Unifi. I am thinking if I go Unifi, why not get VIP 10 - it will be a major speed boost from 1Mbps. RM199 is RM111 more than my current RM88 package, while VIP 5 is RM149 (RM61 more).

Cunning TM to set the price of VIP 5 so close to 4Mbps Streamyx. Sneaky.

The major pain is that there will be some work to be carried out and of course, the 2-year contract - - unhappy with the service etc. etc. either have to complaint until fixed. Can't run away.

What say you Unifi folks? Worth it or not... or will I regret and just stick with my meager laugh-out-loud 1Mbps package?

My usage - - gaming, online video streaming and of course downloads. Will be sharing the connection with, total 3 users.
