Anyone in here can help terminate a Streamyx account without any penalty?
My father wants to upgrade to Maxis Fibre 10Mbps. His Streamyx is less than 1 year, so still in contract.

I know that. And I'm already using UNiFi.

Right now talking about my father's house. I heard somewhere there are some people who can help terminate Streamyx/UNiFi without penalty.

Did u use the supplied HDMI cable? I use astro HDMI cable but the the picture no so nice with some pixel breaks.I changed back to the TM supplied cable & it's fine.If all the cables & TV settings are fine, then i suspect it must be the network. I'm noob too, perhaps more eligible ppl shud help u. They have been quite quiet today whistling.gif

Home: Contract Terms

UniFi > Home > Contract Terms

The minimum subscription period (or contract period) for UniFi is 24 months from the date the service is activated. If the service is terminated before the 24 month period is over, customers have to pay a termination penalty of RM 500 which will be reflected in the final account bill.

Upgrade
Customer can upgrade their UniFi service by visiting TMpoint, through UniFi's portal, through any TM authorized sales channel or by calling TM UniFi Center ( 1-300-88-1222 ). There will be no fee to upgrade the service but there will be a charge of RM200 if require on-site reconfiguration by TM's personnel. The existing CPE will be used unless a change is required due to the nature of the upgrade requested. An upgrade process(within or after contract period) will not require customer to renew their contract period.

Downgrade
Customers can downgrade their UniFi service by visiting Tmpoint, through any TM authorized sales channel (AE only) or by calling TM UniFi Center ( 1-300-88-1222 ). The downgrade can be done any time after the 24 month contract period is over and if a customer requests for a downgrade within the 24 month contract period, a downgrade fee of RM 200 will be charged. The existing CPE will be used unless a change is required due to the nature of the downgrade requested.

Relocation
Customers can request for relocation from TMpoint outlets where they will be required to fill in a relocation form. Customers will be charged a relocation fee of RM 300. If a customer who is within contract period requests for relocation, the contract period will be resumed and it will not be renewed. The relocation of a customer's UniFi service will involve 2 appointments with TM, one is for the collection of the BTU, and the other appointment will be for installation and configuration at the new premise by TM's installer. Customers are expected to pack all their CPE and transport them to the new premise to be reused.

The relocation of UniFi service can only be done if the customer is moving to a location where UniFi services are available. For cases where customers relocate to a location where UniFi service is not available, customers are to subscribe to TM Broadband™ where the TM Broadband™ contract period, terms and conditions are applicable. Subsequently, if customers do not wish to subscribe to TM Broadband™, TM will consider that the customer has prematurely terminated the contract and a penalty of RM 500 will be charged. If customers relocate to an area where TM Broadband™ services are not available, customers will not be charged a penalty but customers will have to produce any utility bill as proof.

Migrate
Customers who wish to migrate to packages provided by other service providers can do so provided that their contract periods are over. If the contract period is not over, the customer will be charged an early termination penalty fee of RM 500.

you may try to do some trick on the relocation clause.

hard to get proof
they told me last week
they will honor tests done on speedtest.net
today say they wont honor it

only ask me to do the speedtest on their own server
which is located in malaysia
claimin speedtest.net usin some sort of transfer rate which does not reflect what unifail can do
the only problem wit their speedtest is its not located overseas
so anythin out of malaysia is history

so i will giv them a call every nite when im free
such as them givin me a call at 9.30am on sunday
when im sleepin
to ask me to send them the speedtest
which they later wont honor
wtf
sunday call so early
every other day i ask them for results
no reply

Like what Qamarzamsyawal said, it could be the HDMI cable. I experienced this once and problem went away after replacing the cable.
