Wonder will they update firmware for D800, so far able to get one with cash, need to pay a friend of a friend to buy then courier back to KL, 1) dont feel like paying cash like that, 2) a bit sceptical on the few green tint problem. At least i could play my friend's D800 when he got his.

Nevertheless, i heard alot of D800 going to UK or Europe, News agency 1st in prepare for the Olympics. Next restock in Malaysia, heard 2 version, 1) Mid April 2012 and May 2012. Wonder which true.

So, maybe the best thing to do is dont do anything and wait.

So far best I've seen is RM9350 at Penang, now is RM9400 KL? must press my supplier liao!!!

9400 not KL. KL so far cheapest get quoted 9500, not feel like further nego, because just like everyone no stock.

1 shop which i knew got stock in KL. Get quoted from this L shop, 9700 at night when i call them, ask for cash term, then recall next day, another guy i guess, he insisted RM9900 non negotiable. Inform him last night get quote cheaper, he said, something as if like "not my problem".

I mean, this kind of shop. I will never step in or recomend anyone buying stuff there.

why dont you call back the same guy? sometime different people give different price, better get back the same person that you call previous day

I suggest that you hold back for the time being until all the reported issue of D800 is settled. Look at me now, money paid already but my D800 is not with me, instead it's in Nikon service centre. now can only syok sendiri with my D7000 which I should have sold a week ago.

Wah, you took such a long time to decide on the 24-70. You sure you'll be ready for the D800 and plus a new laptop? That's some serious cash.

Hold the combination on the lens. More stable. But the lens hood looks like modified from 70-200mm f/2.8 VR.

I believe from looking, mine's has a very slight green tint too. I'll try and post a pic. But nothing that really worries me like a back focus. How bad was yours? I did check my D800 with a 24mm f/1.4 and a 35mm f/1.4 at f/1.4 in low light conditions. Seems it does not have backfocus or focusing problems when using the left side AF as far as I can tell.

Yellow or green tint? Woow, 9380 is a very good price.

9500 is not bad what... I went to Thailand not knowing a lot of features on the D800. Too new. Not used the video yet too.

Hi all sifu, I just bought my new D5100 2 days back I wonder how come the lens 55-200mm is relatively cheaper compared to those 70-200mm?
