Guys! Should I enroll P5 or P6 for this coming semester?

finding F9 tuition..any recommendation for f9 lecturer for jan intake this year?

What are the Scholarships available (local and international) for a student who has just completed Form 5 and is awaiting his results? He is interested in ACCA and is a brilliant student who scored A+ in all subjects in his SPM trial exams.

How about F8? My gf going to take F8 & F9 this semester, F9 she choose to study at Kasturi but F8 she has no idea yet.

Nick - you did T8, so you can cope with F8 easier, this might not be the case for those that did not do T8. 

This would not be so for those that are studying audit for the 1st time, the ideas might be harder to grasp.  So self-study is possible if you did T8, have a strong command of English and discipline.

It is recommended to go for class if this is the first time doing Audit as a technical paper.

Geetha - relaxed coverage of all areas + heavy question review during class
Joyce - strict coverage + motivational +  question review during class

Both have their strong points. Depends on your attitude - need to be pushed and pulled to study.

Did we really need memorize all IAS for F7?

What do you mean by relaxed coverage? Means she does not cover all in details?

Btw, i can't find joyce name in sunway lecturer list for f9..

Anyone facing problem when made payment at MYACCA website through credit card?

I have made 2 attempt, the system still show me the same message "authorization failed" at the last page of payment (even I have goes through the card validity check page). Because of this, the bank have charge me the fee made to ACCA but ACCA said didn't received the fee payment at all.

If I keep continue trying by using credit card for payment, I will be charging big sum by bank for nothing.

Anything can do on this?

hey guys, i got a question, after graduating from account degree( exempted 9 papers ) , I still need 5 papers to get my ACCA.

is it better to spend 1 full year studying and pass the 5 papers, or enter the working force and work and study?

i heard my friend told me that, when working, is difficult to study it, and its easier if you pass everything and only start working

Hi, my F5 lecturer recommended us to buy a book titled Cost & Management Accounting by Colin Drury.

He added that we should buy the Advanced version. However, I do not know which is the Advanced version.

I believe the those that are entering the ACCA using Diploma, Degree and CAT from June 2013 would be affected since the requirement will be enforced as of Aug 2013 - mandatory, it is optional now.

Trust me - this is a huge mess  that will not only affect ACCA, it affects all the others too - Diploma crossing to Degree, Certificate crossing to Diploma.

In that case, you cannot complain since this is a blanket rule.  My interpretation of the ruling that was made is better explained using an example.

Example:
If your Diploma has 50 credit including the MQA paper to complete and if you are exempted from Bahasa Malaysia due to A1 in SPM.  You have just done 47 credit of classes and skipped 3 credit due to exemption of BM.

The new ruling is that you must complete 50, meaning - either you do BM or do something else in lieu to cover the 3 credits.

This is due to credit exemption, you must replace the exempted credit.  You do not need to replace if it is credit transfer, like Diploma transfers credit to Degree.

Source wise - wait for the colleges to announce the news, you will hear it soon enough.

Hello guys, hope it's not off topic asking something about CAT. Here goes, does CAT have any recognition in jobs? Also is it necessary for it to proceed to ACCA?

Let's say I stop my studies at CAT level, is it enough to ask for a job?

To pass P7 you also need P2 now.  If you had been studying it for so long, it means that you may be going in with only P2 knowledge from past papers which is inadequate. You should either try to update your P2 and then do P7 or try another optional.

Getting a 2nd lower is not that bad, since I know someone who got into EY with a 2nd lower with the basic any degree holder gets. So the view that a 2nd lower is not recognised is a faulty. There are many cases where 2nd lower is accepted.  So don't waste time doing another degree - there is no gurantee that it would turn out better.
