I have heard C.K Fung is quite good for P7, but I have taken any classes from him so have no idea!

About P4, I haven't taken yet but I have heard a lot about Oviyan. You may consider his classes as well!

Marty Windle for P3. My friends have taken it in the previous sitting and I am taking it this sitting. I have heard that he is one of the best!

P1 is a bread and butter paper. Self Study for it wink.gif

It should be totally fine wherever you study your F1, F2 and F3 from. They are easy enough to pass. Make sure you practice as many mock exams as possible. The questions would tend to repeat after a regular interval.

For the other skill level papers, the only paper you need to attend classes of should be F8 Audit and Assurance, since there are some points the teacher would tell you and apart from that you need someone to mark your answers!

No idea about F4, you may join some fb groups and ask someone there about it. I self-studied for F4 and took the UK variant so can't give my notes unless you wanna take the UK variant too.

Best of luck for your exams  thumbup.gif

Will there be any difference if I take other version of law-related papers?

Regarding the paper-based exams, will I be able to choose to sit in any exam centres I want? As I just contacted some of the colleges and they rejected my application as I am not a student registered under their college.

Finished my P3 exam and just back from Sunway Uni......
Anyway.....all the questions are doable and lots of info have been offered.

Q1 was the "copy and paste" questions from the past year exam - Organic growth, Acquisition and Strategic Alliances+Acquisition with Suitability,Feasibility and acceptability + Diamond.

Q2 was Time Series Analysis, Least Square Regression + importance of Budgeting

Q4 was 4Is from 6I + Marketing mix (But i answer by applying by common sense XDD)

Anyway.....time management is still my weakness and this problem still remain unsolved until today T.T
But I feel my quality of answers were quite nice although missing some marks in every question because of reaching time budget that i sat.

Especially for Q2......i have to recalculate the Time series table and regression table, and evaluate the appropriateness, it is causing significant time allocated to analysis and the easy justification the importance of budgeting i have to leave it blank ----10 marks lost!!!

Hopefully, 70% completion still allow me to pass!!!!

hi everyone, so i did my paper today and is it okay if i didn't fill in the circle for my question answered on the top of the paper? Like which question to attempt... I just simply circle it lol. Is it okay if i didn't shade the questions attempted? I'm kinda worry now.

Ya,time management is quite crucial for this paper.
I manage to finish p5 on time but not this paper.
Left 10 marks unattempt.

You should be able to sit any of the centre you prefer as you register with ACCA directly.

One thing I learnt is to never go back and correct a mistake. Unless you are able to complete the whole paper and still have time then only go back.

Should be okay as long as you label the sections etc. There was once I did my paper my answer was separated half on the first page and the other half on the last page. Still managed to pass. So I guess they're pretty lenient on this.

Time mgt was also my problem.. I use the 15 mins reading time plus more juz to read qA. And almost 2 hours I used to answer qA. Somehow by magic I managed to finish q3 and q4 within one hour although the last 10 pt mark I did was very messy n not thought out well.
But overall.. Thought this p3 paper was very ok too. when I saw q2 I immediately skipped bc I didn't cover forecasting or regression at all.

You can sit in the exam center which is nearer to you. You can choose it when you pay the exam fees!

I took F4(UK) variant and F6(MYS) variant. It doesn't really matter at all. And moreover, the law and tax keeps changing tongue.gif

Oh my gosh.....how could u do that???? finish 2 questions in 1 hour!!
teach me plz!!! I wish i can master this by tomorrow and apply to my P1 exam:-)

I not intended to to do Q2, but reading the Q3 for numbers of times and don't get any feel from the requirement.
Especially when the question mentioned the word: longer term changes, my mind immediately thinking of change management. After having discussion with my friend, I just realised it is a simple cost and benefit question and the proposed changes have been provided in the case study.

I blame my careless and end up chose to do the question that require more analytical skill to the formula and the underlying assumption. T.T

I wish to have extra 15 mins in Q1, so i could complete the acceptability and recommendation in (b) as well as subheading for supporting industry and firm strategy, structure and rivalry in © T.T

Forgot to share, my time budget was like:

Q1: Planning 15mins answering 75 mins
Q3: Planning 10mins answering 35 mins
Q4: Planning 15mins (from reading and planning time)answering 45 mins

I think my problem was overspent my time on question Q4 because i have forgotten that i should have allocated more time on Q1 since i have fully utilised the first 15mins in annotating and analysing Q4 case study.

Hopefully, this problem can be overcome in my P1 exam :-)
and all the best for those taking p2 and F3 tomorrow.

Hello, anyone can help me on cbe exam?
Acca will change their exam format for f1 to f3 for 2014. I would like to ask if I can still register for cbe now to take the exam on Jan 2014 so that I can take the exam in old format..?I have registered for f1 and f2. But I did not register for f3.

Another question..can anyone recommend me cbe centre which conducts cbe exam quite frequently or one which let me choose the date of exam?

Your kind help will be very much appreciated.

Sorry to bother you but do you know which FTMS campus is actually offering ACCA. The one located at Bukit Jalil or the one at Jalan Hang Kasturi. I'm from East Malaysia and I have to find accomodation but have no idea which area should I be looking for. LOL

First of all, there is no need for a sorry smile.gif Cheers!

Secondly, FTMS in Jalan Hang Kasturi is the campus where you can do ACCA!

Regarding the accommodation, well you should take an apartment/room which is near to the LRT station so that you can reach the college easily!

Well you can take CBE exams 4 to 6 times in a month. I went for my paper based exams to HELP College and saw that they are having CBE exams 4 times in November(no idea about others months). You may call any college and ask them when are they gonna conduct the CBE exam and when do you need to pay for the examination fees!

As regards to the change, ACCA will notify it before doing so. And they are silent meaning that nothing is gonna happen, at least, until June 2014!!!

thank you very much for your help! I will check the details out with the exam centres!

FYI, ACCA already stated for a change in format in their official website. That's why i am so concern about it!

Thank again!

Just take an example! You are gonna do F1 and F2 in the 3rd week of December and then F3 in the 4th week and provided you have passed it, you would go to the further papers smile.gif

The thing which my teachers are telling is that ACCA is gonna change the F4-F9 exam to CBE and make 4 sittings in 1 year, which I personally think is good!!!

So don't worry and take the papers and Best Of Luck!

And finally just for you to read what the director of E-Learning Clare Michington said:

The ACCA will be going for a 4 paper sitting approach post-2014, says the director of E-Learning Clare Michington.

She told a packed Nottingham Lecturers' Conference that there will also be be changes to the way students are examined.

Minchington said it was vital that the exams reflected what was happening in the work place.

Exams will be offered 4 times a year - in March, June, September and December.

She felt that this approach will provide the flexibility key stakeholders want as well as maintaining rigour and security.

To begin with the exams will be offered on computer and on paper, so there will be parallel running of some of the exams.

The ACCA vision is to keep CBE on demand for F1 to F3. It also plans to add F4 to this list.

F5 to F9 will be offered on computer.

P1 to P7 will still need paper-based exams, stressed Michington but students can answer those on computers too.

The transition dates for new style exams are:

F1-F3 - February 2014

F4 - CBE September 2014

Changes to paper formats F4-F9 - December 2014 (still paper/CBA)

Planning for beyond F4 CBE - on-going

So don't worry, if ACCA changes the format, you still have time until February 2014!
