for SCB 1.99% interest/yr, BT (as per page 1), it's not limited to new application as i got this BT approved although i have been using the CC for almost 1 year.
maybe it means 'new application to this BT program'?

hi bro,

i double confirm with their cs. it is for new customer

maybe officially it is for new customer but in actual practice to retain existing customer, they offer on case to case basis

i don't know

Believe me that the CS know nuts on how the interest will be calculated.
Either way I'm just sharing how I make my 6th month (last) payment to CIMB's BT account.

How would you keep track your BT approval date for Average Joe ?
*
Yeah fully agree that some CS know nuts, but being kiasu I will still pay up fully using the BT date instead of the statement due date.

Well, maybe the CS refer to "new CC card holder to this BT program". As i said i hv been the card holder for almost 1year.and i just got this BT few days ago. Those who r interested, u can try to call SCB to find out.

Hi ALL BT sifus,

If I have 2 CCs with 20K credit limit each, how can I BT 20K if I do not swipe the card to buy things?
Any card to let me "BT the credit limit" without swipe the card to buy things?

Normally banks allow bt up to 80% of your credit balance

meaning if your credit limit is 20 k and at the time your bt application is being processed, in total you still owe the bank 16k (unpaid retail spending, balance installment, balance from previous bt), then in effect, you can only bt 3.2 k max (4k x 80%)

I normally lazy to calculate, so before I bt, I always call up the bank and just ask what's the max I can bt from today perspective. And I plan my bt amount accordingly

Looking back at your question, it seems you want to ask if possible to apply bt even if no spending at all?

If yes, just curious.why you want to do that? I don't see any benefit at all. if you are thinking of doing this for cash advance propose, you will still be charge cash advance fee if not mistaken

Pls don't do this kind of weird stuff. Not financially sound

tried standard chartered today. 1.99%/year is for new card member. current member is higher, however i still apply and insist on 1.99% since 1 LYN member got it. see how

Hong Leong 6.99%/year is for not valid for my EON Matta Card. There is a listed number of cards valid for this promotion. Need to wait for June after they do another round of system update since their bank just merge.

how to get 1.99% for scb balance transfer?
any term and cond?

Since there is some discrepancy of the requirement for the applicant, I'd recommend you to call CS to confirm.
For my case, i'm an 'old' customer who got this offer. Some of the forumers said this is just for new application only. Pls find out from CS.

as for the Term and condition. i copy and paste here. see below spoiler

bank officer call back today, not approved for 1.99%, so i go along for 7.99% for 18 months, last choice tomoro go check my HLB since have 6.99% for unlimited time is it? hehe
since just got a letter today asking me to go collect card from branch. if not mistaken my previous application for a high limit credit card was rejected, real funny

haha off topic, card application to Alliance was rejected on the spot since they can access CCRIS. make sense since my credit is off the charts now with over 30k hanging with my 3k salary.

its funny how i still can have like so many cards with the new regulation. now have mbb, rakyat, uob, hlb, scb
later will apply for bsn since have 0% interest bt wub.gif

Bro

You are really stretching your financial limit

Yes, now it seems you are able to bt and pay a bit without problem but there come to a point where you have reach the max limit allowed to bt

At that point, you are forced to really pay your bt installment and I think you will be in big trouble unless you have a big savings somewhere

Imagine today you must at least pay a single payment which assuming 12 months installment, meaning monthly repayment is about 2.5 k

Your base salary is 3k

how are you going to survive with 500? And if you pay partially only, that's where all your biggest nightmare begins.

Partial or missed payment will allow banks to charge you high interest rate and your debt is going to spiral out of control

I've got question with regard BSN bt... have any one applied it?

How the monthly installment to be made? becoz i quite confuse with it.

pay min 5% monthly (for 1 - 5 month) and lump sum at the 6 month.

or

pay as per statement.

appreciate any of your reply.
