hi , thank you ! but i when i click on it it says no update available sad.gif

Use kies then. Connect your phone through usb. If this is the first time you use kies to update, your update should fail for the first time. Unplug your phone, let it restart then connect again. Run the update again. It should work. For the first time, it will stuck there, not moving at all. And your phone shows "downloading" or something like that nod.gif Just do it the second time wink.gif

Today I experienced 1st phone freeze since updated to latest fw. I was using google map and latitude. had to take out the battery. But few days before that the phone become hot (40 c) without apparent reason. it was on idle mode. Currently it's running ok, got some lag if I kept switching between apps (fb and internet).

hmm he may have a point. i have like 419MB on my USB storage.
factory reset doesn't format the whole phone. it just format the Data folder if i'm not mistaken since i saw the message stating there at the Recovery phase. i'll try deleting more stuff before trying again...
*
I updated with only 2XX MB left in USB Storage doh.gif

u download the kies software?
*
yawn.gif If not? Windows pre-installed it? laugh.gif

Ya... Download Kies from Samsung. I always fail on OTA on rooted stock rom. Both previous updates are done through Kies.

Again, first attempt should fail... The progress on your PC Screen should not be moving and your phone just shows "Downloading" or something like that. If it's not moving for few mins, unplug your phone wait for it to restart, relaunch Kies on PC then update again. It should succeed!

If you flash with odin, then the leaked firmware is with DXLC1. Try flash the one with DXLM2 baseband thumbup.gif

Sorry, I'm not better than you do. I only "read", never really do it. You can get help from XDA.

Anyway, baseband I think doesn't matter much. "I think". laugh.gif

Hi it's urgent, hope somebody can help me asap

so I used to have a galaxy w, and trade it with another phone.

now the new owner of the galaxy said it keeps doing auto restart.

I've never faced with this problem, and I tried to google it and the only explanation I got is that might be an application using too much ram.

but the new owner said he haven't install any application yet.

so, can anybody help me what might be the problem is?

ask him do firmware update. Still exist then factory reset, wipe dalvik cache. still like that then send back Samsung ask them settle.
This is all I can say...
