Seems to make a little more sense... plus the fact that I don't have to lug it around when travelling...

Probably won't be able to afford the A99... if Sony ever considers putting out an A88 then that would be more to my level.. haha

Still the weight of the 2470Z is a big deterrent.

A bigger bag and drybox leh.

jimlim007: jim, the warranty should be able to process by service center. if they dont, means they arent following the protocol. u can try file a complaint on them.

the drybox, aipo, previous affected units are the adapter with 2w or below adapters. they will replace with new adapter that has more watt... (4 to 5)

the new aipo, with the LED lighting inside, come with 5watts if i'm correct.

Arapan: the upgrade is pretty easy, i'm kinda on mobile its hard to copy paste everything for u, just google for the firmware, download it, open it, the software will teach u step by step how to do it, it will only take less then 5 minute to do it. or, u can wait till end of the month, possible the new 1.05 is coming.

chiahau: you very funny la =.= tell ppl easy rosak, then tell ppl can 1 to 1.... might as well skip the rosak part and tell them can exchange 1 to 1.... save ur time and trouble that lead to misunderstanding to some ppl that read skipping lines. =.= same thing with the lens, tell ppl how bad bad bad then say how good good good, ur argument always very contracting what you said.

popfish: actually, any lens over 2k, if they have more then 6 stars, its a very good lens, to add it to full star, u can get them from the "skills". not the lens. if u have ability to overcome the lens weakness, that is where the extra stars of the lens comes from unless... unless... a over 2k lens only given 4/5 star, that lens we have to be careful, there must be a fault or reason why its rated that way. so... if i see someone show 6 star, i can make best out of the lens to look like 10 star lens. hope this teach u some 'rational thinking' rather then gearhead syndrome.

shootkk: 85Z and 85G. honestly, stop being a gearhead you are one of the best 'example' we use for gearhead when come to 85, because you shown ppl what you can do with 85 even thou its less then 1k lens. and u always scold ppl, if u dunno why u wan the lens, u are not prepare for it yet. same goes to u

my humble opinion, keep the money first, there is possible that sony will reamp all their lineup to weather seal, and high end lens will get SSM. even u dont plan to get those good one, then there will be plenty of cheaper old ones. ^^

ieR : Yalah... I know... I scold people when they blur blur about what lens to buy... I know what lens to buy.. but problem is not enough money. hahahaha

Also I'm still human... so prone to being more emotional than logical. If I gearhead then early, early buy all the Zeiss already!

If I have money then I buy the 24 f2 Zeiss, the 85 f1.4 Zeiss and the 135 f1.8 Zeiss all one shot!!

You know lar... sometimes hands itchy, very hard to resist temptation.

That's why thinking of buying the 24 f2 Zeiss (emotional reasons) but after a while I start to think that I won't be using it much (logical side kicks in) so perhaps can buy a better 85mm lens.. then find out price so high. And the story ding dong, ding dong until no end lah! Haha!

i just wan to mention that point, how often "can" you use. (not how often 'will' you use). 'will' is there, the 'chance' arent there. that why, keep the money... 2-3 keep till 6k, bring wife go japan, u can take pic, those pic from japan or euro or korea or aust or NZ or hawaii... is worth more then 999x zeiss 24 F2. the satisfaction is poisoning that u will start to plan the next trip before u reach malaysia...

the more lens we buy, the more redundant it becomes. i brought 70200, and its almost 1 year old, and i only used for a major event, one small bridal show, and once in a wedding, and once birding... so yes, 4 time... (sunday will be my 5th time, coz using it to shoot karate tournament). which made me kinda think i made the wrong move, as i shoot portrait so often, should have brought the 135z.

some expensive prime like 24Z(or the 135Z).... its only worth it if u push that lens like how u push the 85 F2.8.... what if u dont? then u will feel either regret that the money is stuck there and u are better off spending that money on another lens.... (same thing with me and my 70200)

i couldnt tell which is good for u, as i dont know ur shooting style, but i can say, u'll know what u really need.

hehehe.... I AM GOING TO THE BANGKOK MOTOR SHOW.....

and for the record, I don't have 7 zeiss lenses.....

haha I like also 85 1.4G either CZ or minolta. But price turn me down. So far aim at Samyang but at no hurry It is MF, but with A77 peaking/14x magnify shall work okay. need to have fun with 1650 SM 1st. Unsure if albnok or ier have tested Samyang 85 f1.4 vs Sony 85 f2.8 SAM. is yes can share share little sharing which are better for my future reference, in term of:

1) Image sharpness
2) Bokeh-ness
3) Color

the price, weight, solid built and aperture of these two I had known
