sweat.gif Don't think about that, but you should make sure you have more juice than enough when you are playing around in CWM.
If anything worse happens just hope you can go into download mode, it should be fine, it is hard to really brick Samsung phone.
*
Yeah!!! Think of that so. smile.gif Hope after reach home it have restore successfully.

Guys anyway to back up contacts using Titanium backup pro ?
I am not using google contacts.. all my contacts are stored in the phone.
*
It's better to transfer phone contact to email. I had duplicate contacts across phone, email and sim card because I scare to lost it. Few days ago I found out that the best way is to keep it into email and backup as .vcf and copy it into your pc/laptop/thumb drive. You contact will be auto sync which is really good. You also can access contacts via pc internet browser and manage it.

How to do this exporting to .vcf? I also need to transfer some of my contacts that is not in the simcard but in my old nokia slider phone.  Is there a fast way to extract the data from that phone to the S2?
*
I used Nokia music phone before I bought s2. You can download Nokia Ovi store and save the contact then transfer to phone. I forgot the exact way but you can easily find the answer in google.

The S2 has remote wiping capabilities and unauthorised sim SMS alert.
No need for avast.
*
True to an extent, but avast's anti theft capabilities is much stronger. Can SMS to tell you the new number if they change SIM card or something like that. Also if you rooted your phone, you can set it so that even wiping the phone won't remove Avast. Pretty secure.

Hi Michelle Michelle,

With due respect, you just joined this Forum today at 3:45pm.

So, no need to go around and criticize people. Please stick to the forum topic. If you have anything to ask about your SGS2, we will help you.

Otherwise, if you keep on posting like this, you are not much different from Positron....

I think the SMS will be sent from avast service to you telling you the thief's number, and not from the thief himself sweat.gif
But come to think of it, so what if we got the thief number, we still can't do anything significant.
A better way is to track using GPS location, but it is also quite hard to retrieve.
So to date, if your phone is stolen it is almost gone forever biggrin.gif

the samsung's version is the sms is sent BY the simcard inserted.
So from there you'd get the number.

We don't store in simcard, usually we store it in google mail contacts.

So if we update on computer it'll sync to phone.

If you want to transfer to gmail, its easy.

Export your simcard contacts to .vcf, then transfer the .vcf file to computer and upload to google mail contacts.

There you can see it and do any amendments if you want.

Then after that sync your phone and your gmail contacts will enter your phone.

You can then 'hide' the simcard contacts.

thumbup.gif Nice guide
Last time i sync conatcts from galaxy 5 to google, then when i started using s2,i sync, like nothing happen..
