QUOTE(fabianz03 @ Mar 15 2012, 01:08 PM) Yea but I mean, why the hatred until like this? This is just a forum, don't take things seriously la, if you hate him/her just ignore his/her post, not much action needed. I'm not sure you understand what a pun is.And piracy, who haven't done it before? Don't tell me every single music or video in your library or DVD and CD you bought isn't pirated? Even if it's 1 file or 1 DVD, it's also piracy. So yeah, make things nice to see in this thread. And not "oh look she/he supports illegal stuffs, lets boycott and mark X on the profile picture!" Make this forum a better place for discussions to take place. No pun intended to everyone here, enjoy. This post has been edited by blackchides: Mar 15 2012, 01:22 PM |

QUOTE(ilham209 @ Mar 17 2012, 11:02 AM) Actually, I remember this happening to me last time. But I don't remember doing anything in particular to get it to work. It just did. I think the best bet for you is to check your APN settings and make sure they are all correct. |

QUOTE(Positron @ Mar 19 2012, 12:58 AM) Can somebody help me.. Yeah, one of the way is to unmount your external SD card if you have one mounted. Install your app and then you're free to remount your external SD.How to solve the usb or sd error when installing apps on market?? Should I unmount the sd card first?? Quite a weird bug, that. It's been screwing up with my TB restores, so every time now I have to unmount the external SD before batch restore. |

Well guys, I've been using thebyani's ICS ROM for a few days now and I have to say, it absolutely flies on the S2. I've yet to see a stutter or lag when navigating between menus.
Even the Nexus which ICS is supposedly optimized for has lots of stutters when navigating through the menus but the OS runs flawlessly on the S2. Pretty amazing stuff, I must say. |

QUOTE(stormlcc @ Mar 19 2012, 02:11 PM) i'm not asking has anyone tried custom roms, i'm asking a recommendation for ICS custom rom. in the past week, there are so many ICS roms popping up, it's really confusing, that's why i ask for recommendation on whichever is the most stable, with minimum bug that can be used as daily driver. thanks! Try Thebyani ICS ROM. It's fantastic; buttery smooth. There's the link to the stock kernel somewhere at the end of the thread too if you want it. Honestly very pleased with it.anyway, this caught my eye: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1488096 anyone tried it yet? |

QUOTE(nicregi @ Mar 19 2012, 04:40 PM) I used to be very lazy to do full wipe. However after some experience, I always full wipe. Usually do on weekend so got more time With Nova Launcher now, it's easy too. Can backup your homescreen layout and configuration. So after you flash ROM, restore apps from TB, restore layout through Nova. Dot want anything bad happen during unwanted times lol Very, very painless. |

Anyone tried using the phone in GSM mode (EDGE) only; turning on 3G only when you need it?
How significantly does it improve battery life? |

QUOTE(MYstombox @ Mar 21 2012, 04:37 PM) True to an extent, but avast's anti theft capabilities is much stronger. Can SMS to tell you the new number if they change SIM card or something like that. Also if you rooted your phone, you can set it so that even wiping the phone won't remove Avast. Pretty secure. |

QUOTE(xsaintzx @ Mar 21 2012, 05:23 PM) I think the SMS will be sent from avast service to you telling you the thief's number, and not from the thief himself Most of the commands for Avast are done using SMS so yeah, would need the thief's number if he change SIM card. Also, Avast can prevent him from using USB so harder to access files/wipe your phone and as mentioned, you can set it so that even if he wipes the phone, Avast will still remain. But come to think of it, so what if we got the thief number, we still can't do anything significant. A better way is to track using GPS location, but it is also quite hard to retrieve. So to date, if your phone is stolen it is almost gone forever But yeah, can say 99% of the time, once it's stolen, it's gone. Best move is just to wipe all your data and post a message promising reward if returned haha. |
