guys,my update ws stored in my memory card.does it even matters?wht i mean is tht if i remove the memory card will my phone go sumting wrong?

theoretically its the same thing as odin. jz heimdall works cross platform.

Yeap i thought so.. but now the hotfile say You reached your hourly traffic limit. Any other sources to download it from?

Maybe you already know this but just to make sure.... did u browse a zip or rar file instead of tar? bcause the error stated tar malformed. If u did it correctly and still get the error i guess your file is corrupted.

Just saw this.. sorry.. i though that if have CWM, will also have root... So, I just understand that CWM and Root can exists without each other.. hehe.

did anyone have try that if update via ota the root will remain? since the cf-root still dint have the LC2 kernel.

for now seems like the only way to maintain root is to use the mobile odin pro with the ever root option from google play.

hello fellows.. i want to ask. if there any nessary for me to have CWM installed if i just need the root because i want to use TB, SetCPU, so on... I dont do any firmware backup nor custom firmware.

BTW, can we apply the same thing as Uncle Benny tutorial?
1. Downgrade to 2.3.5 rootable
2. Root the 2.3.5
3. After have root, upgrade to newer v2.3.6 using ODIN or OTA.
4. And remain the root capability.

Basicly will this working?
