I sent mine to the sc this morning...at first they said is software issue, reformat the phone for me...I said ok. When I go collect that time, they said after reformat and install the OS, the problem still there so they said could be LCD problem and said change LCD for me. I said ok, then the girl said if after changing the LCD the problem still got, then probably is the motherboard problem and will change it for me as well....I said OK...

So I was thinking after changing all the parts and still problem exist, what is my next course of action then....

tested midnote v2.1 ics download from his italian website. not advisable as too many bugs esp at settings n freeze quite common. a major difference from his v2.0 rom

hello fellows.. i want to ask. if there any nessary for me to have CWM installed if i just need the root because i want to use TB, SetCPU, so on... I dont do any firmware backup nor custom firmware.

BTW, can we apply the same thing as Uncle Benny tutorial?
1. Downgrade to 2.3.5 rootable
2. Root the 2.3.5
3. After have root, upgrade to newer v2.3.6 using ODIN or OTA.
4. And remain the root capability.

Does anyone has the CWM for the latest firmware...N7000DXLC2?

My impressions of Midnote 2.1 ICS rom :

1. Not much better than v2.0. Infact I find this updated version brings in additional freezes once a while which rarely occurs in v2.0
2. FC on Android and samsung keyboard - no big issue as I don't use these  and I just delete it and replaced it with smart keyboard pro
3. Surprisingly the developer provides a cracked version of Sygic ; I tested it it freezes slightly and does not work well. I deleted it and replaced it with my own licensed copy - works perfect without any freezing issues
4. Video cam cannot work unlike in ver 2.0 which works; I replace it with free app videocam illusion - works perfectly well now
5. Developer claims no SOD but i faced my first SOD within first half hour after reinstall back all my apps . No SOD so far past 3 hours
6. I installed his provided gapps v7.1 - dialer names and photos shows up well on all calls recieved

So I would say test it if you need the latest. If you do not wish you don't lose anything - ver 2.0 is better and more stable I'd say
And if you wish to install it, follow his instructions STRICTLY esp you must start fresh from a GB build

Guys any other good launcher aside the Go Launcher EX? Something that doesnt eat battery and lag >.<

I used to use Nova Launcher but recently it has become unstable and it crashes often. Now im using Apex Launcher and so far so good. Stable and smooth. Go Launcher has alot of different transitions and alot of addons to play around with too and its pretty smooth and stable as well.

Did you guys get a call from Samsung when you first bought the phone?
I got a call from Samsung but I didn't pick up cos I was in a meeting. Later I tried calling the number and found out that it was a Samsung Call Center.
They didn't call me back after that..

You are absolutely tight. I always advised those who wished to root and flash be mentally prepared you lose warranty. If you are not, DON'T DO IT !! All the tricks to hide your root n flashing ( eg thro removing flash counters, reverting to stock rom etc ) are all efforts in vain,. You can cheat the counter staff who take in your set but not the tech working behind. If the Service center wants to void warranty, no matter how you hide they will still know
I NEVER bother doing such stuffs ; once even with yellow triangle booting up but failed to boot I can still get claim FOC

I have posted my comments on v2.1 midnote yesterday morning. Trace back the posts yesterday morning. If you are already on v2.0 basically no point to upgrade unless you want the latest
