i've checked and tried any and all bug fixes listed on the forums but to no avail.

nothing works =.=.. seems like it's my fate to not play beta anymore, at least until they resolve the Update Agent issue.

Yup connect to the US by default. Unless if you dont want to use the RMAH, and there is a SEA server, you may connect to it.
