Hi guys, need some advise. I've got a 4 ft aquarium. Is it suitable for arowana & which species will be best for this kind of size.

Hello fellow Aro maniacs, picked up a TINY mgbb a few days ago, a bit smaller than 2.5 inches, cutest aro i've ever laid eyes on. Fed bloodworms 3-5 times a day. Can't really eat a lot, at most 10-15 pieces of blood worms at any one time. It will be interesting to see how fast it grows in the next few months.

Dear All sifu,

Recently I just moved my tank to my office. I found out that my fish wasn't eating. It doesn't eat its favorite frog for about 3 days.
Then, I found out that the air condition of the office was too cold, causing it uneasy.
So I bought a heater to heat the water, setting it to 30 degrees.

Still the fish doesn't wanna eat,

This morning I was shocked, seeing something like a cut/growth/disease on the fins of my Arowana. Not sure what it is.
It look like a cut but its not.. Its like a skin disease or something. Hope thes images below help.

I have just reduce the water of the tank to 40%, then put in salt and put 2 cups of "tension gone"

I'm not sure am I doing the right thing. icon_question.gif icon_question.gif cry.gif cry.gif

Hi guys,
haven't been here for a while, kinda busy.

Am wondering, what is the usual lifespan for arowanas ?

And is the size of arowana dependent on the aquarium,
or based on the genes of the parentage?

The environment play the vital role..
Space, water temperature, water chemistry

If one manage to maintain good environment for them, they should be able to go up to 20-30years
