it was recommended by my friend, he recommend it because of the light weight, cause I use very limited functions on a full fledged OS, so going light seems a better idea.

I misplaced the receipts for those equipment, so didn't bother to go thru the warranty process.

Yes, my downloaded files are all to usb thumbdrive, so that i can reduce the wear n tear on my microSD

Yes the long awaited upgrade to the 3B+ is here at last. Unfortunately the 4GB version is not available locally yet. I'm queueing for one too.

I m currently running PiVPN off Rasbian Stretch on my outdated Rpi 2B+. Very easy to install and very stable.
A newer version of Rasbian codenamed Buster will be out soon specially catering to the Rpi4 to support the OpenGL graphics.
Cytron has just lowered the Rpi4 price to RM289 from RM300 announced yesterday.

Curious to see how fast file transfer speed gets with true gigabit ports

2GB should be sufficient but 4GB would be better.
