Yes the long awaited upgrade to the 3B+ is here at last. Unfortunately the 4GB version is not available locally yet. I'm queueing for one too.

QUOTE(Maxieos @ Jun 25 2019, 11:21 PM) Wait a bit more for reviews I m currently running PiVPN off Rasbian Stretch on my outdated Rpi 2B+. Very easy to install and very stable. Wait for all the part to come.4GB and Casing.I still need to look at some review running 24/7 stability. Need to see which distro running well on it. A newer version of Rasbian codenamed Buster will be out soon specially catering to the Rpi4 to support the OpenGL graphics. Cytron has just lowered the Rpi4 price to RM289 from RM300 announced yesterday. |

QUOTE(thankyou @ Jul 22 2019, 04:25 PM) Has anyone called Cytron to ask when are they expecting to receive Pi 4B? It's about 8 - 9 days to go... hopefully they are on-time. I emailed them yesterday and was told they will ship out on 30/31 July as stated in the product page. This post has been edited by seehong: Jul 23 2019, 11:20 AM |

QUOTE(thankyou @ Jul 23 2019, 11:51 AM) "Ship before 31st July 2019"... I thought it's really "before" i.e. 1 week or 5 days etc... but looks like it's on 31st July From what I have read online and on youtube, we are gonna need serious heat sinks and fans to cool the CPU. So I would advise getting a casing yet till we get the cooler kits.It runs pretty hot reaching 82 C in 11 minutes. |

Just received email from Cytron informing me shipment of RP4B will be late by 2 days. To compensate, Cytron is crediting RM20 into our Cytron Cash account.

For those with old RPi2 or 3 lying around, go ahead and install PiVPN and Pi-Hole on it. I just installed Pi-Hole yesterday and was amazed at how much traffic was going out of my home devices and how much traffic had been blocked. It also speeds up your network due to the unclogging.

QUOTE(thankyou @ Aug 5 2019, 04:10 PM) I'm stuck with IPv6 issue on PI Hole due to DHCP-PD w/ dynamic IPv6 address. I'm quite disappointed with Cytron over the double delay issue too. My first deal with them and it had to start out on a bad note. Not sure how can I set it correctly so pi-hole actually block ads on IPv6 -------- Actually I'm still not quite convinced about Cytron not aware about the quantity of the shipment. Reason because my 1st order was done within the first 30 minutes when pre-order open. That time there's still plenty of stocks... I guess they just want to absorb as many pre-orders as possible BTW the alloy RPi4 case heat sink with double fan I ordered from TaoBao arrived today. It had only 2 pcs of 3M thermal silica tape with it. Was expecting 3pcs. Just saw on Shopee a seller selling at cheaper price with 3pcs of the tape but it is on 15 day preoder too from overseas. ![]() |

Using for?Update, received both Pi4 but alittle disappointed as I'm not sure what happened but the plug I ordered was EU plug instead of UK plug. I thought it's UK when I added to the cart...
