btw, beside talks about Rudy Project with my ex-colleague old man cyclist, he said MyBikeShop no more carry much Giant bikes...

He said something relates to Samy Bike shop, where he is not Giant authorised dealer, and he is under-cut Giant bike retail prices. U know I know we cyclist are price concious, where cheaper bike, where head to.

My old man eagerly wanted to get Giant top end carbon frame, he called and ask. The lady in Giant distributor keep emphasis that to get Giant bike from authorised dealer, just in case anything happens, can claim warranty.

Too bad, it's seem none of KL authorised bike shop have the frame, or rather nor the Malaysia Giant distributor as they not yet bring in from Taiwan...

there is a lot of other available in the US but not here la... like moots, seven, serotta...

but, my preference for KL availability would be veering to lynskey la... since they are the people who started litespeed... some more they have that funny twisted tube that they claim increase stiffness...

litespeed is as good as dead after the business was sold off..

i think you jus narrow it down to RM15k enuf adi... no point sending him to something which he will regret and then end up upgrading to a 15k frame... manyak painful...

Added on July 19, 2012, 2:32 pmactually, your question should be how much a carbon bike costs.. cos building a bike from scratch is usually more expensive than buying the complete bike...

for example, the RM01 i asked was under RM15k spec'ed with SRAM Red.... building it from scratch the way i want it with SRAM Force (budget a bit) and a totally different configuration ends up almost or the same amount as the stock retail RM01...

of course, there are also cheap carbon frames from china if you take a dig @ ebay where the prices are very unbelievable...
