how much does a carbon frame cost?
actually, your question should be how much a carbon bike costs.. cos building a bike from scratch is usually more expensive than buying the complete bike...
for example, the RM01 i asked was under RM15k spec'ed with SRAM Red.... building it from scratch the way i want it with SRAM Force (budget a bit) and a totally different configuration ends up almost or the same amount as the stock retail RM01...
of course, there are also cheap carbon frames from china if you take a dig @ ebay where the prices are very unbelievable...
http://www.ebay.com.my/itm/Full-carbon-fra...=item3f18bfa220http://www.ebay.com.my/itm/Full-Carbon-bic...=item2a152dcc6chttp://www.ebay.com.my/itm/700C-carbon-rac...=item3374007adcthis one more up your alley...looks a bit like the pinarello graal...
http://www.ebay.com.my/itm/Carbon-3k-matt-...=item3f161d80dcand they have carbon tubulars too... they use the taiwan made pillar spokes instead of the more known DT and Sapim...
all very affordable... but also very questionable...
