Saturday, we #P2K going cycle to Ipoh 220KM !! Let me count the name list... oh... got 20 names.... 20 names, but not sure will be 20 cyclists show up on Sat morning... hope that i'm able to follow behind the train riding 35-36km/hr in P2K peloton!

during my fever sickness day, i can sleep from 6pm until the next day 6:30am! i'm really sick... like a worm....

imagine! 20 cyclists paying RM100 each, can enjoy 1 night accommodation and bus ride back to KL. Guess this kind of value rides, only from P2K. others see us crazy, madness... yet we enjoying the value we paying !

my sexy slipper in the 20k, my trail running shoe for the 40k..
now another friend which i am trying to trick into to buy clip shoe i cycle 30k/h and above.. but seems like both of us feel like ***** out..

anyways... carbon are not known for it's capabilities to withstand hard braking whether it is carbon clincher or carbon tubulars...

i deduce all this down to the incessant chasing of lightweight bike parts for both the manufacturers and the cyclists...things can only go light to a certain point before it starts sacrificing reliabilities...

isn't that always the case??? my impression is that it is 120% of the time form over functionality...

it's evident when you always hear in the bike shop "ini sedap ohhhh"... like, WTF!!! i am buying this shoe home to give it a licking meh (most probably have some salted fish smell after several hong kong feet went in for testing)... i dun have shoe fetish like miaopurr last i checked... i'd rather be licking the blue color paper with a "leng chai" printed on it...

it is actually the correct thing "power tak de tak apa, gaya pasti mau"... it is general marketing mentality to mind f@ck your customers... "you are fat and ugly and we all know it, but you will feel fast wearing this even though you are not going fast"

the most ironic scenario is that a super heavy overweight cyclist wearing full set of champion white jersey and bib.... full set le!

tak boleh la... the sport is getting more expensive as days go by...

it's starting to become un-affordable already for us poor bastards... this is cycling... not golf...

if the market is flooded with only premium items... it's going to make it terribly tough for us to continue enjoying cycling as it is... i remember at one point i was looking for a pair of R-500s which is an el-cheapo training wheel... and apparently there were no more stock and even better of having no plans to bring more in cause no one ever buys it (am i no one?).. so what happened was i got pointed to a pair of RM4k++ FR0 and my most hated word "sedap" came up...

yeah!!! it rocked my boat... and it capsized somemore... come on dude... 5 times the costs of something i was asking for.. WTH... at least i would not have that much to say if i were pointed at some R7s.. at least they were only twice as expensive on retail tag...

i think the price went up years back when cycling started gaining polularity. before that a high end michelin prorace was only rm110. then it started going up. maybe our ringgit strength has gone down. maybe raw material cost has gone up. who knows.

as for the pro team jerseys, just let them be. i'll have to borrow butthead's arguement, stop quoting euro rules man. just look at it as, the guy wears his favourite team/rider kit. is it any different than a kaki bangku fat guy wearing an international football club jersey?

i'm not sure how it is now. when i started cycling years back, team kits were cheaper than plain ones. in fact, the plain type was hard to find.

over a 10 year peiod... it has changed a heck lot.. i believe it's a combination of all of the above in the basic increase of costs... but the problem is the spawning of more and more boutique type outlets and also the fact that things are getting more premium and branded than before...

take wheels for example.. when have you seen people still recommending the classic hand built wheels when mass manufactured ones can be had for weights that is far less that hand builts...and money seems like no issue to the people buying them...

it is practically driven by the demand of the market.. and the poor guys is like society... getting poorer on a general basis...

when i started back.. there was no authentic MOA team kits or replica kits... all were just fake printed ones that can be had for as little as 35 to 50 bucks... watever design you want... no coolmax, climacool, dri-fit technological bullshit... jus a jersey with 3 pockets behind and a zip in front.. that is what we call jerseys no matter wat is printed on it...

plain type is also my dilemma... i like plain jerseys as i don't like to get branded... it is around and available.. jus not cheap... you can get the plain nalini or bellweather or spez with jus a small brand logo.. but they are not cheap to begin with cos they have all this mesh fabric premium material thing going on with it...

which is why my sugoi is still around and being worn.. can't find anything that beats RM50 for 3 pieces of fake sugoi's....

no logic... you jus get suckered into it...

i guess... the logic is the same as why wear a shirt with a big nike logo while you are paying bucket loads for it... the same shirt without the nike logo can be had for less... but it's the fact that people dun like it...
