QUOTE(TakoC @ Mar 23 2012, 10:56 PM) Guys, where can I change the battery at a cheap price? Always got extra charged for those little thing by going into some random watch shop. Prefer not to DIY myself too btw Tissot cannot change battery in normal Watch shop....they won't open it for you. Must go Wisma goldhill. If you DIY your self... when Watch Rosak....warranty void.Tissot watch when it Rosak...if the repair beyond the technician skill.....50% they will give u a new watch (same model) for free. even is no more warranty. So don't take the chances of DIY [[change your own battery]] This post has been edited by RegentCid: Mar 24 2012, 12:38 PM |

Seiko 5 is suppose to be shock resistant, probably can survive the drop.. Well Im sure Swiss made/Japanese diver watches are better built, diving is actually a rough activity.. |

yea now all Tissot has price control capped at 15% only.
U will be lucky if you find someone offering higher discount. So for early purchaser, they are considered lucky enough. |

QUOTE(piscesguy @ Mar 26 2012, 08:07 AM) Maybe Japanese watches are better.. I dropped and accidentally kicked my old 94' Seiko 5 solid caseback many times on solid concrete / tile floor unintentionally without breaking the crystal and the watch working fine. The decorative pieces including the Seiko logo, the day date frame on the dial, hour markings did fall out on several occasions. Sometimes it will get stuck between the minute and hour hands jamming it up. I just manually adjust the hands to get it free again before sending it to a watch repairer to reattach it back using glue. Cost? RM10.00 per visit. Seiko 5 is suppose to be shock resistant, probably can survive the drop.. Well Im sure Swiss made/Japanese diver watches are better built, diving is actually a rough activity.. After a big one, it did have some affect on the movement pendulum (rotor) or main spring. When you shake the watch, there was a springy feel when the rotor was spinning. Nevertheless, it kept on working perfectly till it was stolen. I'm not sure about the current models though, since they are all now using exhibition caseback since 2002. QUOTE(ProPStaR @ Mar 26 2012, 09:00 AM) yea now all Tissot has price control capped at 15% only. What's stopping the dealers from giving more than 15%? Giving 23% to a regular customer who pays in cash quietly shouldn't be a problem right? U will be lucky if you find someone offering higher discount. Maybe shop has to submit resit to manufacturer or perhaps as a precoution if customer reports to manufacturer that the shop givibg more than allowed amount... |
