Hi Guys,

I am actually buying a watch for my wedding and Tissot is one in my shortlist. I searched in this forum and found no specific Tissot thread. So I guess, creating a thread specifically for Tissot would be a good idea too to discuss about current and upcoming models, your collection, places to buy, etc.

I am eyeing on this model:

It is currently leading other watches in my shortlist. Brand, design and price are within my expectation. If I go and pick this model, it would be my very 1st Tissot watch in my collection. It's just matter of time for me to make a purchase. From my survey, all shops offering 15% discount from the recommanded selling price. It would be great if you guys let me know the shop offerig >15% for Tissot. wink.gif.

For those who already own Tissot watches, please share your review, opinion, rating, etc of your watches. It might be a good reading too for all of us here.

Thanks.

I know alot of people , who buys a SEIKO and use it for the next 10 years .

Tissot is different , you don't buy a Tissot and use it for the next 10 years .
Its the "enter the game" kinda watch .
After a few months of owning Tissot , you will start to look at Omega , Tags & Ball .
Then you move on to Rolex , PAM ..
Then you move on to VC , AP , PP .

So yeah , Tissot is the "first poison" kinda watch nod.gif Don't say i didn't warn you !

Hurm...

Thanks for the warn... LOL! ..

honestly, I am not really clear the message you are trying to deliver. I dont really get why Tissot as a starter bbefore jump into Omega, Rolex, etc. My opinion, if I have EXTRA money to spend on watches, I dont really look at Omega, Rolex, etc. It's simply because I dont really like their design. Sorry, no offend to the owner of those brands.

How do you guys rate that the watches are worth every penny you spend on them? I dont really get it. For me, design comes first as well as budget. Brand is just a bonus. smile.gif.

What galnap say is very true. My first watch was a tissot... But right now my seiko has more write time than the tissot. Anyway, interested in my tissot? It's a couturier. >.<

nice couturier! smile.gif can PM me also...

I have always wanted a T-touch ever since it first came out and now its already in its fourth generation (IIANM)

But I've have heard that the 1st, 2nd generations were problematic...

Of course you would love to have all the gizmos but whats the use if it does last rite? any long term T-touch users here? has it lasted?

try WATATIME at subang parade.. i bought several watches from them before and they give >15% discounts (if ur srs in purchasing at that time)
Bsieds that, wat Gapnap says its true at least in my case. i started liking watch around 5~6 years ago and my first was a tissot costing around RM600 plus and after a year of using it i started looking at other brands. Currently i have several brands in my collection.. If u hv a budget of around RM2000, i would suggest u to go for seiko, longines.

Why u recommend seiko instead of tissot? Tissot not so durable?

Both watches hv their pros and cons in my opinion... It really depends on which seiko and tissot model u are talking about.. I personally recommend seiko because i find their designs better than tissot for the same price.. Just a piece of advice, all seiko models hv no resale value accept for the grand seiko..

I think SEIKO Marine Master PROFESSIONAL 300M/600M/1000M Diver (Automatic) are great watch to have, there are many collectors around the world and certainly have re-sale value.. smile.gif

It's probably true, most Tissot T-touch rated at 30m. smile.gif

Tissot Sea Touch can go 200m.

IMHO, TISSOTs are not worth the price tag. tongue.gif

Go for tissot visodate or le locle.

Both automatics, retailing less than RM1800 before discount. They use to give up to 25%, but only 15% starting year 2012.

Good luck hunting.
