yup, agree with u, becoming the head of LYN thread doesnt hav to be the official member, not every1 hav the will to keep things alive like what TS did, Dares, there's no issue about u becoming the TS so dont get me wrong, i'm happy like the others...
1) the rev cut is at 6,900rpm... some see as 7k rpm, hehehehe...i drive my car like that since i got it 2 years back until now.. the rev cut is from ECU and yes, u can remove it but really unsafe bcoz our engine is lean running engine... operating temp is very hot.. as for the speed limit i'm not sure bcoz the fastest i ever go was 160km/h only since kuching dun hav good highway... in youtube i ever watch a 190km/h blm... camproturbo blm can go until 220km/h (alrdy close to gearbox limit) but cannot count bcoz alrdy using external engine management (bypass ori ECU)... personally i think our ECU dun hav speed cut, only rev cut..

2) thru my personal observation, i drive slow or fast, my FC stay at 9km/l - 10km/l unless i do heavy metal flooring for long duration, RM30 for 100km only.. FYI, very seldom to see me drive slow... so my FC cant be count since i'm not a FC type of person

3) in the video, my car still stock, using ori filter and air-duct... am not lying... i juz changed to open pod for around 2 months only, that also after i changed my exhaust manifold (bcoz after u enlarge the exhaust flow, intake flow also need to follow)...

have u watch the 10.5 sec video? that's my fav..

btw didnt know that ppl really take my vid seriously.. hehehe... thx very much..

cant help on that since i'm driving manual, old blm summore, hehehe..

bro omara ! i have a weird thing... my rev cut is at 7.2k instead of 7k... sad.gif my fastest speed is 194km/h... stock engine stock air filter only with 15 inch sport rims and adjustable suspension set...

you go take a peek at your front grill. If in front of a radiator, there's another smaller radiator in front at your right hand side, then you dont need ATF cooler.

If not sifu, than call you boss la shakehead.gif So, boss, since that part of the story is just the tip of an iceberg, please continue with the absurd theory. I'd like to hear more. May be because of your avatar, provided heavy gun powdered posting, I felt that you're marah² type of person laugh.gif Boss, please don't take this wrong, I admire you people damn a lot wei. You guys are full tank of knowledge(be it truthful or not), the best part of it is, ebibody also never kiamsiap(selfish) about their knowledge and share with us.

I don't spoil my cars, but it takes me awhile to adjust myself. I bought my ISWARA, it took me 2 months to start to drive "properly", baru I dare to test my redline. I bought my WIRA, it took me 6 months to find out it can actually go beyond 180km/h. My current experience with my "new" BLM is, bila corner Kanan, tiba² wiper start wiping my windscreen; otherwise when start to rain, suddenly I felt like wanna pull over(signal kiri telah dipasangkan shakehead.gif ) Therefore, my current top speed is >110 <120 blush.gif Tried to floor the pedal, but its a total different with my WIRA/ISWARA. My WIRA is 1.6 EFI, so when I floor it I can clearly hear a big dip in suction sound as throttle body fully opened, but the tunnel have not fully prepared, then suddenly hear monster suction sound! ROAR!!! laugh.gif As for my ISWARA, pure mechanical reaction. You floor it, it bark immediately! Wolf! Floor it again, it bark harder! Wolf! Wolf! However, my BLM sounded like.....

Floor the pedal, then the engine baru ask "eh? emergency ke? ok I kasi power up skarang". Then only you feel slight increase of power. But its not weak, it just not pushing! The speed is still there! The power is there! Just doesn't have the kind of WILDNESS of an old school engine. I'd say the CAMPUR engine is very smooth and comfort speedup experience.

As for 1.3 to 1.6 conversion, u can do it without the need to rebore and use oversize piston... Juz get 1.6 stroker kit from S4PH engine, cost around 2k (mayb less).. Bcoz our bore size for 1.3 and 1.6 is the same.. The diff only stroke length...

Feel yu still don't understand... sad.gif

If yu read my earlier posts, there IS ALREADY an in-built ATF cooling sys for AT cars incl our Saga BLM/FL.
Pls chk wat me asked yu 2chk. smile.gif

Also 2confirm yr FL does not hv a separate ATF Cooler like in FLXs, pls chk like wat Bro V12K has asked yu 2do. icon_rolleyes.gif

Normally a separate additional ATF Cooler is NOT needed for normal driving/daily use.
Fyi I've driven my ole Saga 1.5I Auto for 20+ yrs with no prob except for a slight leak @time of sale! thumbup.gif

FLXs hv & even need an extra ATF Cooler cos of CVT sys.! Even the orig sys had probs cos of overheating & 1st batch FLXs were "recalled" to change a pipe 2a larger bore...IINM. tongue.gif

Sincerely hope above is clearer now. icon_rolleyes.gif

Speaking of loud, the other day I left the engine running while I went down to buy some stuffs, as my family was waiting in the car. My car was double parked behind some cars, in front of the shop.

As I was paying at the counter (still inside the shop), I hear a rather loud humming engine sound, I thought it was one of the cars parked in front of the shop, so I hurriedly ran back to my car just in case I was blocking someone who's ready to gostan out of their parking.

Once I reach my car, wa lan eh, it turns out the loud engine noise came from my car when the compressor kicked in doh.gif

How come yu hv 3 tyres same with 1 totally diff wan?
Thot it's aleaz advisable 2hv same type tyres on same axle ie same tyres in front or at rear?

Best is, of course, same tyres on all 4 wheels... tongue.gif

Sorry for the late reply.

I will check out this forum as well.

Using SAT is software based. It’s just another shifting stategy, mechanical nothing happens so you can always use this whenever you want without additional wear.

Subject: CVT SAT mode

Hi Kristof,

First off all, I would like to congratulate your fine job at interacting with users of Punch's CVT at the Autoworld's forum. I would also like to invite you to join us at the lowyat.net The Fast & The Furious subforums, where there is an active community of Proton Saga FLX and Proton Exora Bold users, which as you know, both models uses your company's CVT gearbox.

I personally drives the 1.6 variant of the Saga FLX, and was discussing about the following with my fellow FLX owners:

I discovered that switching to SAT mode at high speed (>110 km/h), and pressing the throttle to induce a "stepped downshift", allows me to reach a higher RPM faster than in normal CVT mode (something like downshifting from 5th gear to 4th gear, the RPM will immediately jump up). This is useful when I need to reach 4K RPM faster, where the max torque is. I tried this as >110km/h will be too fast to use L.

My question is, will frequent switching back and forth the SAT mode during high speed drive damage the CVT or cause excessive wear and tear? Is this practice advisable?

Thanks in advance for your reply!
When he says "mechanically nothing happens" I assume mechanically it is operating normally, no different than in switching between D and L mode, except for it's software controlled shifting.

Its good to know these manufacturers actually spend time interacting with users for feedback n such. At least this shows that they're not only care about $$ but also product quality assurance. good job there

Yep, battery power. Many cars are like that, the fan continues to run after you have switched off everything, not just campro. Campro more so because it runs hotter than other engines, especially after a hard drive. And since Bold comes with a turbo, the fan acts to cool down the turbo as well.

Yep, now if only Proton will follow suit hmm.gif At least I know P2 will always try to contact you after you complain at their website.
