If that's the case, it's most probably belts (+/-pulleys)...as Bro Eric posted... smile.gif
Also possibly when aircon compressor cuts in...? tongue.gif

Wish I could say I enjoyed the DIY yesterday....
(To quote myself yesterday "LAST TIME AND NO MORE!"). ohmy.gif  ohmy.gif

Guess I'm just not cut out for DIY....

But now the door trim panels feel 100000 times more solid...I can't even pressed it in like last time.  rclxms.gif .

Firstly most 1st time in any DIY project is an "adventure" of sorts... rclxm9.gif
Sure got sweat.gif wan but it's feeling of pride AND personal satisfaction that yu did it yrself (AND NOT juz paying some1 2do it 4yu ) that's worth MORE than the $$$ saved!! thumbup.gif

Frankly no one is cut out 2b a DIY-er! We learn as we go along...picking up Dos & Don'ts along the way as we gain experience! rclxms.gif

Don't give up so easily...& yu're on yr way 2enjoy DIY-ing this & that for yr ride(s)!! nod.gif smile.gif

Moreover, one shld NOT start engine until airbag warning light goes OFF! That fuel pump sound is heard b4 that.... tongue.gif

That's prob when specific signs & symptoms with enuf details are not provided...sad.gif

wif proton car all you need is drive lembut2..thats include braking, taking corner, even pulas your stering also must slow2 lembut..if not sure got problem broken here this here there...trust me..
*
C'mon, Bro...it's not that bad, rite? tongue.gif

ps. My 1st Proton lasted me 20+years...
The only thing broken was its speedo cable which had nothing to do with how we use it...and a little bit of oil after changing it, made it last till the car was sold!! whistling.gif

brake fluid is still optional but gear oil MUST change
else later have problem thn dnt come back and complain
*
Yup, gear oil replacement is VERY important 2ensure proper functioning & longer service life esp in autos.

Also advisable 2replace brake fluid once every 2 years. Brake fluid is very hygroscopic ie it'll absorb water vapour fr the air, and subsequently lower its boiling point.
Efficiiency wld then be affected. tongue.gif

That used 2b the norm previously.
However, it does not appear 2b the case with this gen of cars & not incl in 1st service schedule.

voids exhaust system warranty.

IINM Exhaust Sys warranty only 12 mths...
Frankly nothing shld go wrong with it if working fine oledi since delivery... tongue.gif

ps. There seems 2b a chronic fear/trauma re warranty by Saga owners esp...
Most posters here appear 2dare not do this/that cos of fear of voiding car warranty! doh.gif
pps. Suggestion to TS : Mayb good idea to put Warranty cover periods for diff sys on 1st page of thread. This wld remove unwarranted fears as expressed ever so often in this Forum. thumbup.gif

Yr dad need NOT hv 2get used 2it... Yu can help solve the prob! tongue.gif
Juz install OEM ABL...abt RM100. PnP module. Uses alarm reset button 2unlock all doors.

Re auto power window, juz install OEM auto window 4driver. See?

QUOTE(-ZeN- @ Mar 9 2012, 09:45 AM)
Just about 400km more to my 1st 1k service.
Problems that i currently found....
- the back seat right side auto lock is not "locking" properly, causing the "flash alarm and the auto lock/unlock/lock/unlock" (Anyone got this problem?)
*
Also for @Bro Jackalv2 ...
Easy solution...DIY...open car door cover, chk linkages & oil/grease them. That's it! (NB. Happened to my FL during 1st mth.)
OR... Do as Bro dares did...if can spare time, Send to SC.

QUOTE(peet @ Mar 9 2012, 09:56 AM)
Yesterday I tried a DIY "mini project". Connected my PC's 2 speakers + 1 woofer to my car drawing power from lighter socket and using iPod mp3 to play.

Project: FAILED cos I realise power frm socket not strong enuff (unlike A/C) to drive speakers.  sad.gif

How to boost power frm lighter socket so that it's as strong as A/C?
*
Go buy a DC/AC Inverter unit. Can get fr comp acc shops. Select model with suitable output power.
Plug it in2 yr lighter/power socket. Yu can run yr laptop & most A/C devices fr there!

Me using VZTec unit...max power output 150W c/w 3-pin socket, cooling fan & USB output. Got higher output units available...200W?

@cuteyman : Feel it's small enuf...possibly can fit into the storage space below CD HU in main centre console? Din try it cos me use unit only when needed ie not connected all the time wan. tongue.gif
