So, does ur soundproof work?

How many % of inherent noise have been lower down?
*
To be honest la, i tried insufflex at 4 doors before also, it just block little high frequency noise such as wind noise and some whining sound, once you get used to it, the feeling of 'non-existent' will come back again...

Just my little opinion, but the price is cheap, so nothing lost, better than none.

too bad..mine is manual.. lolz..

Then pull handbrake and shift to 1st gear...

Your car won't move at all even at 45 degree slope If you shift into 1st gear without pull handbrake, engine braking is the alot more effective than handbrake.

Can also, just remember to shift to neutral before starting the engineĀ  sweat.gif

Yup, this is a must have habit for manual driver even u put N when parking, because manual can shift gear without pressing clutch. So Always check the gear stick is at N before starting engine, i think is taught during car learning lesson... wink.gif

*
+1...

they should come out with door panel and dashboard with easy-to-dismantle, maybe just some simple clip and screw which can easily access by user and DIY dismantle and reinstall it...hassle free, no time wasting and no burden to SC. blush.gif

Those clips which holds the doors are easy to break too. And replacement clips aren't cheap. sleep.gif
when engine running, fuel pump also running mah. biggrin.gif

Not only clips easy to break, the clip that hold the screw is easy to loose its thread even you open once only... dry.gif

The doors are very easy to open up, just 5 screws and u can pop out the whole panel starting from the bottom.. Its just the dashboard part that i cant figure how to take it out owing to the tons of components involved.. And a dashboard dismantle last time in COSE took more than 45mins by a trained technician somemore..
end results was like this..

Btw more clips and screws means more rattling.. lol..

[attachmentid=2708861]

The amount of effort they took scared me..  sweat.gif

Fixing for free nia.. If they can built good quality dash, no need to waste time doing claims but more time servicing cars.. Can generate more revenue..
*
For some ppl, the door is very hard to open...

You changed dashboard before?

80-110 is a breeze to reach.

as for cornering, depends on what tires you get with your car. Ducaro GA has better grip than Silverstone Synergy M3 but on wet rclxub.gif Tire pressure matters too. I've tried 200 front and 180 rear and also 190/180 and the grip is superb but prolonged usage will start to eat your tires sides. 210/200 makes the rear a bit floaty at speed above 150kph and during hard cornering, the rear easily slides out (but still controllable). Currently trying 220/200 and my first verdict is, the ride is bumpy as hell >.< The stock recommendation of 210/190 is quite balanced, gives a better confident to corner and no floaty feeling even when approaching 160kph.
*
It depends on tyre as well.

Last time using SS M3, even stock 210/190 is bumpy and harsh...

Now CC5, recently i also start to play with tyre pressure again, Currently try 220/210, still quite comfort, stock pressure make FC a liitle worst than using M3 last time, so different tyre different pressure.

What i know is Ducaro is quite hard compound, plus FLX stiffen suspension, so stock pressure is more suitable to you for comfort.

I think is not normal coz let say we downhill genting so the engine will keep on braking?? That mean we push the engine to working harder....
*
Yup, just like driving manual, when genting downhill, always use low gear to increase engine drag, hence engine braking to prevent u from over use the brake.

i think there shouldn't implement this features in D mode, instead should be 'L', now you have no choice, just get use to it... i drive manual, to be honest seldom use engine braking.

Added on March 8, 2012, 2:49 amGuys, crazy shit happen just now. Was convoying with my friend who drives a satria cps just now during wet conditions. Was going around 120 until a corner where we bot hbrake and was at around 90km/h and his car made a a 180 spin and almost hitting a divider  rclxub.gif Thank god nothing serious happened. He's using continental cc2 tyres btw. Heard its really bad for wet conditions. Care to clarify Eric?  hmm.gif
*
Provided his tyre is excellent in wet, if the thread is almost worn out, god tyre also won't help...

Road condition? A puddle of water is enough to spin your car at high speed, doesn't have to be the tires. Suspension setup, strut bars etc. etc. ?

Any of those could cause the turn to exceed the tire's gripping power, regardless of how good the tire is.
*
Maybe in straight wet the grip is excellent, but during cornering, weight is transfer to one side only, means now the grip is less in one side...thats why...

This week i tried pump my CC5 to F/R 240/220kpa, surprisingly the ride is still comfortable like pump 210/190 as manu recommended. Less bouncy effect when over bump, throttle feel very light, and noise level also didn't increase noticeable...weird tyres... hmm.gif rclxub.gif

Thats why during accident, although we are confident on our airbag and chassis strength, but we forgot we have a LARGE fragile windscreen. In this case, checkmate.

I have some problems on my ride, need some advice from the pros here:
1. When the compressor fan is activated, sometimes I hear some croaking sound coming from the engine, rpm meter didn't go down and up when I hear the sound, so is it air-cond or something else?
2. Sometimes during braking, I hear some knocking sound coming from the back, anybody else experienced the same problem?
*
Is air cond compressor kickin. At that time you will feel cold.

Usually EFI engine will auto feed in more fuel to compensate RPM drop during compressor ON, our engine did the same thing also, however i found that during idle, our RPM will stay there like magnet, RPM won't go up/down even compressor ON/OFF, i think they adi preprogram the ECU, once we din press pedal, RPM will just stay at 800-900RPM even the actual RPM is vary...

You can just simply prove it by ur own, stand behind your exhaust tip, when compressor ON, the air blow out is stronger, but RPM needle still stay the same...

Not Proton monopoly it...i bet this recommended by Punch auto instead..CVT is a sensitive AT, it need particular oil to work better...even Honda CVT they also the same, use their own oil.

So the constantly croaking/choking sound during the engine idle is normal? Alright I'll give it a try to prove it, so how about the knocking sound from the back when braking? is it brake drum problem?
*
Yes, when u outside ur car, you can hear 'tak' when compressor engage (also the fan will spin now) and 'tak again when compressor disengage.

About your rear brake problem, 'several' FLX's owner also experience the same problem as your, you need to go SC to ask for fix or replacement. This one you might ask dares or any FLX user for opinion.

Thx V12Kompressor. Hehe my right foot not very obedient larĀ  laugh.gif Will take u and dares advise as it will only be very little improvement.

Our car have O2 sensor @ extractor there, if you change to drop-in/open pod filter, it will slightly increase the power, but if more air is out from exhaust, means O2 sensor will detect it and ECU will inject more fuel into combustion.

Take it this way, if you need 2 part of fuel to run the car @ 10km/h, with or w/o after market filter you still need 2 parts of fuel to run @ the same speed. Just with after market filter, you can climb from 0 - 10km/h slightly faster only. This is how we can feel the 'power'.
