Yeah definitely. Its good that Maxis is doing this now after so long. Been waiting for this but still phobia of Maxis hidden data charges in my bills last time. The main reason I switched to the yellow side. Need to get over thisĀ  sweat.gif

Dont't worry.

With maxis, now you can dial *136*9# to check your data usage every now and then if you are concern.

With 3G Watchdog or Onavo, you can monitor your data usage too.

I have been using Maxis 3G data plan since my SGS days from Sept 2010 until now...and never been overcharged a single time.....so, if you monitor your data and be careful, you don't have to worry.

At least you get decent speed.

Digi plan is unlimited but once you exceed, they throttle and slow you down until it's unusable which is as good as no data plan...it is just a marketing gimmick..."unlimited"...

Just my 2 cents...

I switched from green to blue a few years back. headache every month.

When the bill DUE for the month and haven't pay, don't even honor credit limit, directly cut off access. :s
So after 1+ year switched back to maxis.

Added on March 2, 2012, 10:42 amPort in and out, cannot be so quick. Usually they ask if its at least 3 months old.

best using the *136*9# to check...wonder if anyone can use the code to generate an app or widget, so that it will automatically refresh....then it would be the most accurate data usage.

Thanks for the 3 months info thing.

For existing postpaid customers, can only get the Value Plus Internet Plan.
For MYR80 = 500MB + 300mins + 300sms

Sad panda.

dual mode.

this could be the culprit of my problem then. some nuts on the net highly recommends putting it on WCDMA only.

but whenever i make phone calls, it get cuts off halfway while speaking, sometimes seconds after speaking. one time i noticed it automatically goes into airplane mode. i was convinced it was a software issue. googled it, and saw SO many other users going through the same issue. many claim its a hardware problem.

i browsed through network settings ,and notice that option GSM/WCDMA, i googled it, and realised one or 2 guys saying that if we put in WCDMA only, we will have problems making calls, so i put it in auto, and havent had a disconnected call from mornign till now.

so i think i can safely say, this was the freaking culprit of turning my airplaned mode on randomly during calls and disconnecting.

haihs. in the end, the only solution that solved my internet network issue switching between H+,H was *#301279# suggested by sngiapoe

and the WCDMA only (which i googled was suggested by some other forum) option just gave me more problems.

Thanks to LYN again! notworthy.gif

In the past it was Rm0.10/10kb
Which is crazy expensive, now its RM0.30/mb

Last time really curse maxis for the extremely high data charges.
*
I still on prepaid plan. Last year September when I bought s2, I downloded speedtest app to try Maxis speed. After 1 speed test, RM50+ gone because of super expensive data price mad.gif

I used to be on WCDMA only, but then i figured having it dual mode would be better since my office has bad 3G signal.

But when I was on WCDMA only, never faced your problem.

assuming leaving it on auto, the call drop issue doesnt happen, should i just keep the phone?

or should i still return n get a replacement,it as it might be hardware related?
