You probably can't pop in any keys as you want, at least not for the Caps Lock. The Caps Lock is specially designed that the stem located just like the "Tab" key(instead of staying at middle like most others), LOL.



Lets wait and see if Cherry can keep out with their quality or this is simply another China made board...

Original G80-3000 Capslock are off centered.
The G80-3800 should be centered. Which is fine by me.

Its not really an offer from Filco, its the after-revision pricing from them, so it will lasts until the distri says something about it.

I mean they off-centered in different way. Which mean not interchangeable.

anyway, i sourced few units of Demo sample G80-3800 from Cherry Corp. Who want to be the tester?

So this mean Cherry G80-3800 may land in Malaysia market?
Actually, testing or not is not the main concern. I am more interested to open and dissemble it to check the overall built of the keyboard.

So this is how it look like putting together the SS 7G armrest and the Filco 87keys yellow keyboard moded with black pbt keycaps......
the bottom side of the armrest height is same with the keyboard bottom side, so I can say it fit quite nicely there, the back of it the USB wire attached to the keyboard part, the armrest has the arch to let the wire go through......
I don't know if other keyboards like 104 keys has the wire connect to the middle or side.
The wire connect to the keyboard part are not supporting the armrest, it has some space still at the top of the arch,
the side of the arm rest are the actual point that support the weight, not the wire.

It will need a different screwdriver too(which I don't had ATM).

I will get the screw driver once I got the keyboard.

Can take a side-view of it?

seem like the bottom part is exactly same height while top is a little lower(probably won't affect much).
