My battery over spilled and stained the battery holder and the engine parts (below the battery). As per your instructions, I'm wondering is it safe to wash the affected parts with water from tap hose? Or did you use high pressure water system to do the job?  hmm.gif
*
i used normal water tap not the HP type. when the battery taken out there is plenty of space for your hand to move inside the bay, at the gearbox area. to be safe wrap the electrical connectors with plastic bag.

I'm wondering is it possible to change the myvi 3SZ-VE ECU to rush/avanza ECU? myvi output 102hp@6000rpm, 136Nm@4400rpm. rush/avanza output 109hp@6000rpm, 141Nm@4000rpm. otherwise they share the common hardware interface.

Alright.

I'm wondering if I leave the stains there, will it corrode/rust further? I'm planning to let the SC people do the job during my next service.

Hi guys, I have had my car for 1month+ and my windscreen and rear screen are starting to show water marks that cannot be wiped off. It looks as though there is a layer of film with many holes on it. When I run my fingernail on the marks, I could actually feel uneven surfaces. I wonder if you know what the problem is? No, my car is not tinted.. Cheers :/

The clip is loose? Didn't experience that. Rather now, I'm having rattling noise from my dashboard and driver's side window.
*
I have that rattling sound too.. gonna fix it tomorrow together with my 2nd service..

QUOTE(megat89 @ Jun 3 2012, 02:52 PM)
yup..me too..but i just put it back..sometimes it happens..but as far as i notice, long time already it doesnt happen anymore on my car..
BTW, just came back from port dickson, feels like the 110kmh is rpm is high..feels like everytime i release the pedal, can feel like the engine braking a bit..not nice..feels like either it needs a 5th gear, or different gear ratio..but pedal to the metal on 3rd gear feels very addicting.. biggrin.gif

i think the way they place the bonnet holder is not nice lah..
it will become very very hot becouse the holder clipper is located in direction to the radiator fan...
why they dont place it at the driver side..haiz..im just afraid later on the rubber holder for this bonnet holder will melt because of overheated...
*
Im not sure what material is the clipper but i do concern as the bonnet holder is indeed very hot every time i put it back after it came off... blink.gif

Hi guys! I just bought a new MyVi 1.5 SE few days ago and i'm loving it!

Somehow i have a question to ask you guys, I hope it will not be bothersome.

I would like to ask how did you guys take care of the interactive touch panel daily?
Let say if we park our cars under sun and there will be a lot of heat, will it affect the touch panel to have 'purple patch' like those we have on monitors?

Is there any 'Cover' that we can buy in the market currently to cover up our interactive touch screen panel? I'm a bit worried as my tinting is not that strong and i'm parking my car outside daily at my workplace.

for this type of problems i usually DIY rather than letting other people touch my car, because they doesn't have sense of belonging and the SC people have lot of things to do. actually mine too got that rattling sound on the both door panels when driving on harsh roads, else it quite like conti car tongue.gif
for no 1 and no 3 problems, i observed (when sent car for tinting) there is a tightening screw behind the door panel handle, each on top and bottom, can be accessed by prying open the top handle cover, its the clip type, then you can see the screw underneath it. unscrew and you can take off the remaining handle and can see a hole which you can put your hand inside and pull the electrical connectors for power window and central lock motors. then it is safe to pry open the door panel from top to bottom all around is the clip type, don't do too harsh because you need to feel the resistance to check whether there is a clip at that point. once all had bare opened you can start working applying double sided foam or acrylic tape around the door panel and the door itself if you feel that metal is touching with the door panel producing that rattling sound. usually i put it on near the clip area. you can also put more cloth inside it too . once done, assemble back in reverse order. the annoying rattling sound gone, only tyre roars will be the only thing you hear.

for the glove box, simple, apply foam tape around. put cloth or non slip mat inside.
