Hi everyone! nice to meet y'all...just a little intro and experience about my new ride

mine is a myvi se 1.5 ivory white.

manufactured on 12 march 2012.

delivered on 28 march 2012.

till this date already clocked 950km coz travel back n forth to east coast.

this baby is quite fuel efficient, achieved FC 17.3km/l @ 90-100km/h on LPT highway.

installed UR front strut bar and rear lower bar, steering feel a bit sharper than before.

installed RAYTECH CS60 pearl black security solar film, these film is 4mils, which is thicker than normal solar tint, the result is, it also dampens outside noise thru the glass when without, due to its thickness.

installed PHILIPS Crystal Vision 4300k H11 halogen bulb, give out bright white light, it also came with small white position light as complimentary.

although the AT doesnt have OD button to engage lower gear, it is capable of sensing when the car is going downhill, slight dab on the brake, the AT select lower gear and hold it, eventhough the brake pedal were released and throttle depressed, will goes to high gear when the car is leveled again. same applies when cornering.

next installation will be an ATF cooler and Engine Oil cooler, really loves this car when you know how it behaves.

Lagi Best!

already seen diamond vision, of coz it look amazing, got slight blue tint because its a 5000k halogen. quite expensive can reach up to RM 280 but no complimentary position light, should do with philips ultinon led to match with the diamond vision light output, but will add up another rm150. tongue.gif

Hi Guys, I plan to be a Myvi owner soon but still deciding what color am I going for.
I saw some Myvi with Ivory White become yellowish after a few years.
Is it true? Will the bright white fade after a couple of years?

If this is it, I might have to get black then... sad.gif
*
it depends on your taste, if you prefer aesthetics of the car, you will love to see the curves and distinctive two tone colours at the wheel arch, front grille, air dam, rear diffuser, rear duct, front duct, foglamp mounting, door/window lining, i'm sure you will appreciate the colour of ivory white.

darker colour will hide this bodily features.

lighter colour can easily be stained, so need to be rajin to wash and polish the car.

scratch and chipping will not easily spotted on white.

colinwong89: i'm not using HID its crystal vison 4300k halogen bulb, the blue purple tint is from my poor camera phone lens itself. i think this bulb is legal because it is the same wattage, halogen based, enveloped in the projector and properly aimed.

Halogen bulbs are legal, and I'd say that these bulbs really look good on the Myvi - just I'm a little lazy on the 'JPJ flag-down-and-pop-the-hood-for-ballast' potential problem sad.gif
*
if got tahan, just follow their orders if they wanted to popped up the hood, we did nothing wrong, it is still a halogen. plus, i keep the oem osram bulbs in the glove box, if they asked to change on the spot.

The colour postion light is from phillips too? What colours are avilable.. This is the T10 bulb right?
*
yes, it came with the crystal vision only.

QUOTE(colinwong89 @ Apr 9 2012, 12:03 PM)
What's a 'position light'?
*
the small light at the corner of the headlamp. the first notch u turn on the headlight stick, this bulb only will lights up and the taillamp.

The H4 is about RM 130 right?
How much is the small one... Im looking for it, coz the white LED type still gives a blue tint. Wanna get something with pure white..
*
the H4 may cost around RM170 to RM190, it came complete with the H4 and T10 bulbs.

QUOTE(colinwong89 @ Apr 9 2012, 12:13 PM)
And it even comes in a package? This is getting a little too tempting. laugh.gif So how much did it cost you to change them, including the fog lights?
*
yes it came in package, mine is H11 type so its quite expensive than H4, cost me RM220. i didn't change the foglight.

Main beam + Clearance light (proper name for position light) can use Crystal Vision 4300K Combo pack. Settle this one.

Which model of Crystal Vision 4300K can fit the fog lamps? I need something that matches all 6 lights.

And for High beam which one?
*
high beam use 9005 bulbs, hvent seen the fog light bulbs yet.

Added on April 9, 2012, 12:38 pmbut remember, rain and foul weather is the enemy to bluish white lights, better leave the fog light yellow for light reach

So there's a total of eight bulbs to swap - main bulbs, highbeam bulbs, position bulbs and foglamps. This will come up to be quite costly  hmm.gif

too many hands maybe?.. usually people tends to overlook tyre pressure, types of engine oil and quantity, high viscosity and overfill can contribute to high FC, dirty air filter and ATF, burnt spark plugs.
