Price and availability may be different. If spoilt the phone will still be sent to the same service center.

Look at the new Ubantu OS. Does it remind you of MeeGo swipe UI? Nokia was onto a good thing and they were the first but they failed to recognize the jewel in their hands.

And recent rumors says that Samsung gonna make a new OS called Tizen, and they say Tizen UI is inspired by Meego..

So technically speaking, Meego is not completely wiped off the planet, look at BB 10 OS, and Sailfish.. and now Tizen..  hmm.gif

*P/S: forgot where's the source, lazy to find again, go google about it  laugh.gif
*
That's not a rumour, it's true that about Samsung releasing Tizen based phones but it's not something new. It's been something talked about for sometime already.

No it's not inspired by Meego, it's the successor to Meego after Nokia called it quits on Meego. Intel looked for another company & Samsung hopped in. Tizen is basically Meego stripped of Qt(previously owned by Nokia) & improved on by Intel & Samsung.

Yes there's certainly a rise in full touch only mobile OS, especially impressed with Ubuntu for Smartphones. But all these are new OS & no idea how well will market receive it.

Yes Nokia had a gem, too bad it was thrown out prematurely....

Stressless N9 is not very good. It's a free app so I doubt it is going to be improved further. Try Sleep Maker from ovi store. It's RM2.00 but worth the price.

Usually it's the phone prob. Try restarting your phone a few times. Yes, a few times. Happened to me once where I didn't even realise SMS weren't coming in. Restarted a few times then suddenly SMS starts working again.

Else if you can get another phone, try taking your SIM out from your N9 & test in another phone. That will rule out telco issues.

Unlikely to be a telco issue although you didn't say which carrier. Did you try rebooting the phone, doing a soft reset (Settings>reset>restore settings) or deleting old messages if too many have accumulated?

no mobile network keep pop up every few seconds? sounds like my problem last time. Your connection to telco is now depending on your luck, if you are near a tower, then you can connect instantly, but for me last time, i tried, sometimes takes 5 minutes, just let those "no mobile network" message keep pop up, eventually it will stop. If u try longer then 30 minutes still not yet connected, then restart and wait again.

Switched to uMobile, the problem disappear ever since. It does seems like a Digi only problem, and seems only I had that problem before you

as for the sms issue, try checking your message service centre number, compare it to other digi sms service centre number see if it's correct

It's actually the phone being very sensitive to certain SIM cards. I've read a lot of ppl in this thread had issues with SIM card that had to be cut down. But I myself am using that too, 2 mini SIM cut down to micro SIM & didn't have much issue & I'm on DiGi somemore. But once in a blue moon like yesterday, I do get 'no mobile network' issue that can only be solved by switching off the phone, taking the SIM tray out, cleaning the SIM contacts a bit, then put it back & start back up the phone.

Go to Settings -> Applications -> Messages.
check and see if the Message Centre number is the same as other digi users. or, scroll to bottom, and press the import from SIM, then try again see

i nvr knew Meego is owned by Intel, i thought it was Linux based.. and as far as i know, the original developer is Jolla, so that means Sailfish is Meego's bona fide successor.. headache rclxub.gif
