teks screw is just another screw, oni the head is hex mar...
no problem la...
i'm driving 3 inch teks tru zincalum sheet, but into wood la.. not metal...
u just need to control the trigger so it doesn't over tighten...

more than 10 years ago the fence around my hse, all using teks screw drive into zincalum sheet and into mild steel beams..
those days the workers still using corded drill leh.... more than 50 feet.. 6 feet high..

you might miss the most important point with teks screw which if you over tightened it on roofing it will be lose and will be a great spot to place a pot when its raining.

the metal roofing is mostly #22(rarely anyone want it) - #30 ( almost everyone want it because its very cheap. thickness ? just around 0.3mm to 0.5mm and the pipe backing is usually just 0.8mm or 1.0 mm ..... for awning installation usually.

don't get me wrong, the cordless screwdriver I have is great but its slow and it don't help when i am up in ladder or a crane and i cant get both my hand on the screwdriver.

Just want to know if an impact driver would help on those situation where i cant get both my hand on the tool to drive the screws

one thing i know is.. impact driver don't have any control like a clutch on a cordless drill.
if u over tighten... habis... sweat.gif

so it is not meant for delicate job if ur pipe backing is too thin...

i just saw my jiran install new awning... the worker just use cordless drill oni.. on teks...
i think its safer maybe...

Should be good enough for screw. What is the max torque ? Normally screw torque around 20-50N start from small screw.

You can get a socket wrench adaptor. But tighten socket wrench need higher torque.

If you want an drill/impact capability, the size is bigger. Than for screwing, will need a bit muscle to control. This lightseries maybe ok --> http://www.bosch-pt.com.my/my/en/professio...ightseries.html

If you want light handling drill/screw, this one more value for money --> http://www.bosch-pt.com.my/my/en/professio...-10-8-2-li.html

Not that big size. But more torque for drilling. And select able torque control for screwing.

The torque write down at Techincal data. (Torque Max).

You mean anyhow, still need to get a hammer drill?

If in this case, just the drill/screw model is good enough. There is no all in 1 type. As the size, handling, torque is too wide range spec to clamp into 1 drill.

the Makita td0101f has max 100Nm only RM260 but with tail, the cordless model TW0909 has 90Nm is RM440.
you can opt for the cable type and put the money you saved into the hammer.
