If I plan to go to Everland, do I need to get the tickets in advance or I can get it on the day itself?

Is there any travel agency there selling cheaper tickets for Everland? Just like in HK, I went into one of the travel agency offices and bought attraction tickets (Ocean Park, The Peak, Disneyland etc) for a cheaper price.
*
no need to get the tickets in advance. didnt aware of the cheaper ticket price..

Not sure about cheaper tickets, you can buy the tickets when you reach Everland itself..it is pretty crowded also, 45mins or more just queuing for T-express tongue.gif

I didn't ponder this when I go there also..  laugh.gif

as tourist we are at advantage..as we can plan when and where..so..go there early..during the weekdays..

i suggest to check the official website of everland..sometime they provide discount voucher for foreign visitor..

No need but you need credit card to pay upon collecting the car. Pls send them email for reconfirmation on your booking several days before the date of collection.

Their GPS overall is good but not that updated. The GPS could not provide us the direction to Jeju Tourism Organisation, Fantastik Show Theatre in Jungmun and several good restaurant in Jeju town. We went around and around, asking people on the street for direction. Wasted our time.

If you stay in Seogwipo, nothing much but if you stay in Jeju town area, nite time is quite happening.

Before you get the car, make sure you get all your details in order. Get the telephone number of the places you want to go. Some of the places are not listed in their GPS and you wil have to round and round. Get Jeju map. The one I got from Jeju Tourism Organisation is very good and updated.

Their GPS in english was hardly any different from non-english GPS. The only 'english' things in their gps is its main menu, a fraction of the main menu. The voice direction is in korean as well.

Aside from that, their GPS is waaaaaaaay superior than what we can have here in malaysia. All you need is the telephone number of the place you wanna go and you are all set. So if you have flyers with you, or a Lonely Planet guide book (though it may be outdated a bit) it well help you greatly.

It will warn you of speed trap and road bump, extremely accurate, very responsive and very detailed display yet still easy to see and non cluttered. So you can pretty much speed like crazy and slow down when approaching a speed trap biggrin.gif

ps - The gps I used was the one provided by the car rental company Kumho.

Lol the jackpot 'ting ting' sound. Yeah I remember that. I think it sound once you are safe from speed trap or when you are approaching one.

The East-West road that go through Ilchubong was a fun drive. Got to see some beautiful beach and Wind Generator.

Most of us here self drive and travel on our own. But you can try driver guide in Jeju. I've met some of them. They speak fluent English. This one guy I met in Majanggul Caves. His name is Wan Mons. Well, that was written on his call card tongue.gif

When I met him in Majanggul Caves in Jeju, he was with several Malaysians. He was their driver cum tour guide. He works in the hotel line for 18 years and speak good English. Maybe you can email to him at maarooii@yahoo.co.kr or calling him to his hp at +82-10-3697-2303.
