Is it true that you can buy gaming consoles like Wii cheaper here in HK? Is so, is it really much cheaper? Warranty issues? Compatability issues?
Thanks

Hi,

I am going to Hong Kong in November.
Heard some of the forumers went to DIng Ding agency to gets a cheaper ticket when they reach HOng Kong. Will they run out of tickets when we go there? because the travel distance is so near. Like the first day you will go to Ding Ding to purchase the tix, then the 2nd day u plan to go peak/ocean park.

Will it ran out of stock? Possible... As some of them are vouchers which u need redeem from the place you going. For eg, Madame tussaud.

Like Disneyland u will get the entrance tix itself.

Most of them have a validity a month so no worries to buy them and use another day.

From wat I see, it won't... they r selling 22k of tickets every month.
And don't buy Disney meal coupon. The set meals is not worth of it and u can only claim from 3 restaurant. There r much better choice.

Information sharing:

I got the ticket for Peak Tram, Sky Terrace and Madame Tussaude for HK$189 from China Travel Services (Level 5 of HK airport).

The usual price is HK$245 if i don't recall wrongly.

Not sure about their selling price for disneyland as i'm not visiting disneyland, but should be cheaper than usual.

Can anybody just enter there and buy the tickets? biggrin.gif

Yes.

I picked CTS because of good recommendations from the web. There are other agencies too.

Lvl 5 of Arrival Hall Terminal 1.

Btw, there have branches everywhere i.e. Mongkok, Kowloon, etc.

Added on October 29, 2012, 1:54 pmTo add on:

Tim Ho Wan Dim Sum Specialist <- Highly Recommended!! Good dim sum, but long queue.

on 27th October 12, i arrived there at 9:16am. Already got more than 15 ppl queuing infront of me. Waiting till 10am, they opened shop, still cant get in.

Then, they wrote me the numbers on the order form, and requested us to come back half an hrs later.

10:30am - back again to wait for another 15 mins before enter as the first round of guests havnt finish yet.

10:45am - enter with unhappy feeling as waited for too damn long.

10:52am - dim sum serve up 1 by 1. Feel very satisfied and pleased with the wait.

Tips: Please order at one go. They don't allow you to order after that as that they cause further incovenience to them and the waited guests.

FYI, those that come at 10:30am was told to come back 2 and half hours later.

How much is your budget? The cheapest place should be around mongkok. Heard that dragon hostel or ah Shan hostel but be prepared for small room. Mongkok got a lot of nice food! smile.gif for food in hk u can view tis. Very helpful.
As for Macau no comment cos I went there for 1day trip. But if got chance I will go there again to try out try Portuguese tarts!

other than lan kwai fong...
if u hv deep pocket, u should try Central-Mid Levels Escalator (near LKF)...
majority of the customer is Caucasian.
Feeling like in Hartamas during its prime time.
