Guys and girls,

I have draft an itinerary for my outstation visit to HK. My wife will tag along with me. But, she will shop alone during the day as i got meeting to attend throughout the whole week.

Day 1.
- Arrive Hong Kong at noon time
- Buy the entrance tickets for Peak Tram, Sky Terrace and Madame Tussauds.
- Buy octopus card
- Take taxi to Guangdong Hotel
- After check-in, take taxi to The Peak

I will spend day 1 on The Peak itself since i don't have to report office.
Any recommended eateries around The Prat Avenue?

Day 2 (Night)
- Visit Ladies Market (Tung Choi Street)
- Visit Sneakers Street (Fa Yuen Street)

Since its nearby, so we will visit both places.

Day 3 (Night)
- Temple Street night market (Yau Ma Tei)

Anything else beside temple street at Yau Ma Tei?

Day 4 (Night)
- A Symphony of light (is this worth to visit? If not other recommendation?)

Day 5
- Any recommended place for dim sum? (Our flight departs at 2:20pm)

Can suggest where best to shop around TST/ Kowloon? I have google, and found that Olympian City, Festival Walk and Harbour city is nearby. Currently, i suggest my spouse to visit one mall daily for three days...

Apart from these three malls, any other better choices? Aprt from malls, any suitable place to recommend for a single lady?

Thanks a heap!!

Thanks so much, Mugenz.

Ya, i have also planned to have dim sum at Tim Ho Wan. Research show that i need to reach there by 9am, then queue till 10am to eat. Pray that the queue isn't long during my visit.

Since Langham Place is situated at Mong Kok. I plan to advice my spouse to shop there, then i meet her there before heading for ladies market and sneakers street during the night.

Is China Hong Kong City the outlet you referring to next to Harbour City? Thanks heap for the recommendation.

Maybe we will only visit Citygate on our next visit. Since it close by NP 360. Might as well visit there at one shot.

Btw, any other good places to recommend at night besides all these famous street? Is LKF good? Is it close to Soho?

Thanks.

About that Tim ho wan dim sum, it's advisable to go on weekdays and avoid weekends. Best time will be non peak like 2to4 pm or night 9 sum thing. Last time I went there around 830 pm on Thursday night I waited for around10mins only. Tim ho wan only open at 10am but there's already long queue there

Thanks for the tips, Wyen.

I will go there on weekend (Saturday Morning). Will be there at 9am to queue up and hope to get a seat by 10am. Reason is because i don't have the habit to take dimsum for dinner. And noon time, I'm not free due to meeting.

Information sharing:

I got the ticket for Peak Tram, Sky Terrace and Madame Tussaude for HK$189 from China Travel Services (Level 5 of HK airport).

The usual price is HK$245 if i don't recall wrongly.

Not sure about their selling price for disneyland as i'm not visiting disneyland, but should be cheaper than usual.

Can anybody just enter there and buy the tickets? biggrin.gif

Yes.

I picked CTS because of good recommendations from the web. There are other agencies too.

Lvl 5 of Arrival Hall Terminal 1.

Btw, there have branches everywhere i.e. Mongkok, Kowloon, etc.

Added on October 29, 2012, 1:54 pmTo add on:

Tim Ho Wan Dim Sum Specialist <- Highly Recommended!! Good dim sum, but long queue.

on 27th October 12, i arrived there at 9:16am. Already got more than 15 ppl queuing infront of me. Waiting till 10am, they opened shop, still cant get in.

Then, they wrote me the numbers on the order form, and requested us to come back half an hrs later.

10:30am - back again to wait for another 15 mins before enter as the first round of guests havnt finish yet.

10:45am - enter with unhappy feeling as waited for too damn long.

10:52am - dim sum serve up 1 by 1. Feel very satisfied and pleased with the wait.

Tips: Please order at one go. They don't allow you to order after that as that they cause further incovenience to them and the waited guests.

FYI, those that come at 10:30am was told to come back 2 and half hours later.
