Guys and girls,

I have draft an itinerary for my outstation visit to HK. My wife will tag along with me. But, she will shop alone during the day as i got meeting to attend throughout the whole week.

Day 1.
- Arrive Hong Kong at noon time
- Buy the entrance tickets for Peak Tram, Sky Terrace and Madame Tussauds.
- Buy octopus card
- Take taxi to Guangdong Hotel
- After check-in, take taxi to The Peak

I will spend day 1 on The Peak itself since i don't have to report office.
Any recommended eateries around The Prat Avenue?

Day 2 (Night)
- Visit Ladies Market (Tung Choi Street)
- Visit Sneakers Street (Fa Yuen Street)

Since its nearby, so we will visit both places.

Day 3 (Night)
- Temple Street night market (Yau Ma Tei)

Anything else beside temple street at Yau Ma Tei?

Day 4 (Night)
- A Symphony of light (is this worth to visit? If not other recommendation?)

Day 5
- Any recommended place for dim sum? (Our flight departs at 2:20pm)

Can suggest where best to shop around TST/ Kowloon? I have google, and found that Olympian City, Festival Walk and Harbour city is nearby. Currently, i suggest my spouse to visit one mall daily for three days...

Apart from these three malls, any other better choices? Aprt from malls, any suitable place to recommend for a single lady?

Thanks a heap!!

Day 3 (Night)
- Temple Street night market (Yau Ma Tei)

Anything else beside temple street at Yau Ma Tei? Basically nth much in YMT. maybe u can try the 4 seasons claypot rice there after finish temple street.

Day 4 (Night)
- A Symphony of light (is this worth to visit? If not other recommendation?)

[COLOR=red]Well, just lighting show of all the buildings there.. just 15mins only. At the same time u can visit avenue of stars, can have a nice sunset or night view of the harbour as well

Day 5
- Any recommended place for dim sum? (Our flight departs at 2:20pm)Tim ho wan dimsum will be nice, receive alot of good feedbacks.

Can suggest where best to shop around TST/ Kowloon? I have google, and found that Olympian City, Festival Walk and Harbour city is nearby. Currently, i suggest my spouse to visit one mall daily for three days...Outside of Harbour city there are also branded boutiques, beside of Harbour city there is an outlet mall, you need google this up Something china something.. if you guys looking for cheap out of season stuff

Apart from these three malls, any other better choices? Aprt from malls, any suitable place to recommend for a single lady?Langham place in Mongkok, Times square in Wanchai/CWB and Citygate in Tung chung. (Citygate is far away from city, but its a outlet mall which sells alot of cheap out of season stuff, not bad if looking for really cheap Tshirts, or simple clothing, MTR shops directly outside of citygate.)

Thanks a heap!!

Thanks so much, Mugenz.

Ya, i have also planned to have dim sum at Tim Ho Wan. Research show that i need to reach there by 9am, then queue till 10am to eat. Pray that the queue isn't long during my visit.

Since Langham Place is situated at Mong Kok. I plan to advice my spouse to shop there, then i meet her there before heading for ladies market and sneakers street during the night.

Is China Hong Kong City the outlet you referring to next to Harbour City? Thanks heap for the recommendation.

Maybe we will only visit Citygate on our next visit. Since it close by NP 360. Might as well visit there at one shot.

Btw, any other good places to recommend at night besides all these famous street? Is LKF good? Is it close to Soho?

Thanks.

Pray that the queue isn't long during my visit.  Last time only got one branch, but now they have alot thru out the island. So i think no worries. 9am should be ok biggrin.gif

Since Langham Place is situated at Mong Kok. I plan to advice my spouse to shop there, then i meet her there before heading for ladies market and sneakers street during the night.  yea, ladies and sneaker street is just nearby to langham, maybe one or two streets away only, furthermore majority of the malls are linked with MTR, easy to go there biggrin.gif

Is China Hong Kong City the outlet you referring to next to Harbour City? Thanks heap for the recommendation. yes, sadly i didnt managed to go during my trip, its just next to harbour city since you wife will be going there.

Basically in HK, once at night really nth much to do. Either lepak in malls, or go dessert or makan supper only. LKF not really close to SOHO but not far away either. So other than those places, you maybe can go TST and East TST. They have alot of shops open till 11++, perhaps can grab some dessert there as well

Thanks.

About that Tim ho wan dim sum, it's advisable to go on weekdays and avoid weekends. Best time will be non peak like 2to4 pm or night 9 sum thing. Last time I went there around 830 pm on Thursday night I waited for around10mins only. Tim ho wan only open at 10am but there's already long queue there

if not mistaken its around HKD400 per way using taxi. If 3 person can share the cost then it will be advisable to take taxi.

But if you guys planning to get the 3 days unlimited tourist pass with airport express roundtrip. Then its more worth.

you can travel using unlimited MTR for 3 days and 2 ways airport express.

Please check MTR website for more info for the latest offers.

Thanks for the tips, Wyen.

I will go there on weekend (Saturday Morning). Will be there at 9am to queue up and hope to get a seat by 10am. Reason is because i don't have the habit to take dimsum for dinner. And noon time, I'm not free due to meeting.

Hi there,

Heard lots of reconmendations about Ding Ding.
But i wont have time to go collect the Disneyland tickets from them.
They offer me a free service to deliver the tickets to my hotel provided i pay them upfront . Need advise if it is safe to do this??

Mine was hkd320 during September 2012.

I been to their office and it's just normal. I would say its safe to buy in advance and have them deliver to your hotel.

Information sharing:

I got the ticket for Peak Tram, Sky Terrace and Madame Tussaude for HK$189 from China Travel Services (Level 5 of HK airport).

The usual price is HK$245 if i don't recall wrongly.

Not sure about their selling price for disneyland as i'm not visiting disneyland, but should be cheaper than usual.

If your wife are interested in H&M, H&M itself insde of Langham place is good enough for her to kill 2-3 hours.

That's really cheap. I bought at special price by purchasing their combo package, which costs HK$ 220 instead of HK$240. cry.gif
