touch and go lo.. go tap then straight go in. No need buy separate tickets.

One day no need buy le..

Octopus does give discount to fares, but maybe a dollar or two only...

Can consider use daily tourist pass which is HKD30. You can use an app to count your fares. IF exceed HKD30 then its worth it.

This tourist pass cannot use for bus. biggrin.gif

take note that you can get refund of the remaining balance once you return the card, with a very minimal fee. if not mistaken, refund can only be done at selected stations. refer to their MTR website

Hmmm I think I will get th daily pass for less hassle biggrin.gif thanks for the info!

By the way anybody has experience with the ferry terminals? I am coming over by Zhu hai and I want to head over to hong kong island (sheung wan MTR area). Anybody knows which ferry terminal has more crowd? The ferry bound for china HK terminal leaves at 8am. So if I take this ferry, am not sure whether it's faster (including the MTR ride to hk island) than I take the 9am ferry which leaves for HK Macau terminal.

i sort of experienced the ferry terminal but its from Macau to HK.

Arrive Macau around 11am, took taxi to ferry, reach around 11:30am. Suppose to catch the 12:00pm ferry to Kowloon terminal but due to high imigration traffic i was advised to take 12:30pm to Hong kong Terminal instead. My hotel was in Kowloon but next ferry will be around 1pm. So i dont want to waste 30mins waiting, rather pay more for transportation from HK island back to kowloon.

So do have a back up plan if imigration traffic is bad. Determine your ferry operator that you are taking then know the right terminal as well as their schedule.

Central -> admirality-> tst that is for mtr.
