I love them with porridge but try not to eat much.

Wanchai not really ideal.. But metro park Mongkok seems good location but quite run down.

If you are looming around HK island then staying in WanChai ok la

really depends on what are the places that you are walking around..

Roasted Goose,

You guys prefer Yue Kee (Sam Thseng) or Yung Kee (Central)? I know central one is more expensive, how about the taste?

if wanna go sam thseng, what's the best way to go? lets say i goin from Yau Ma Tei..
Approx. need how long?

Added on February 23, 2012, 6:08 pm

This Fei Jei Snacks operates from what time till what time? coz i going Mongkok around late afternoon but scared its not available yet. Anyone can confirm or went around late afternoon?

if not mistaken there's other snacks around the road rite? like stinky tofu etc etc.
*
I have been to Yung Kee (Central) twice in year 2008 and year 2010.
Their food quality still maintain as the same even i went there in different timing.
Yung Kee is one star Michelin but i still think the price is reasonable.

3 century eggs + 1 例牌 portion Roasted goose + 1 char siew + 1 vege + 6 rice + desserts + tea = bill HKD 600++ and shared by 6 people

one ppl around rm40 after conversion

I check online and most of the hotel in Hong Kong is above RM1000 per night. So far the cheapest I found was RM600+. Anyone below RM200? Not need to be 3~4 star but definitely not those motel. As long as room is clean and secure.
*
You must have checked those super peak season!

rm200 should be Motel or hostel already

at current weather in hong kong, do you think it is sufficient to bring just one thick sweater? tongue.gif

seems like around genting highland temperature.

I didn't even wear any sweater when I was there last week, just a long sleeved shirt + slacks.
In the MRT or Cab, its not that cold..
It's only quite cold when we are walking outside..
But I spent quite minimal time walking outside, most of the time in hotel, in office or in restaurants.

The dim sum there is... heavenly!
*
hahaha the only place you need jackets will be The Peak at night as it will be very windy wub.gif

Hi there guys,

Will be off to hong kong in 2 days time.
Staying in BP International TST.
Anyone care to recommend some nearby eateries?
I heard the dim sum is good.
*
Love the Roasted Pigeon from this restaurant:
太平館餐廳 Tai Ping Koon Restaurant
40 Granville Rd, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

I think around 15-20mins walk from your hotel

anyway, i can't think off any good dim sum which is nearby your hotel (i mean by walking distance)

Thanks so much, Mugenz.

Ya, i have also planned to have dim sum at Tim Ho Wan. Research show that i need to reach there by 9am, then queue till 10am to eat. Pray that the queue isn't long during my visit.

Since Langham Place is situated at Mong Kok. I plan to advice my spouse to shop there, then i meet her there before heading for ladies market and sneakers street during the night.

Is China Hong Kong City the outlet you referring to next to Harbour City? Thanks heap for the recommendation.

Maybe we will only visit Citygate on our next visit. Since it close by NP 360. Might as well visit there at one shot.

Btw, any other good places to recommend at night besides all these famous street? Is LKF good? Is it close to Soho?

Thanks.
*
If your wife are interested in H&M, H&M itself insde of Langham place is good enough for her to kill 2-3 hours.
