Welcome to Hong Kong smile.gif

I am sorry as I never stay in hostel/hotel in Hong Kong, so I have no idea if it is good for family to stay.

However, the location is unbeatable for sure and you should be easy to travel around ... hope you will have pleasant time in here
*
That the reason I choose this one.

hi guys, if want to stay in HK, how long we can stay without VISA ?
*
Nationals of most countries do not require visas and can stay for periods varying from 7 days to 180 days, depending on nationality. If unsure of status, check with any Chinese embassy or consulate. Please check the details about visa requirements on Immigration Department's website.

I plan to be a budget trip so if possible below RM300 per night. Most of the time won't be in the hotel room so no point of staying luxury hotel.

For my next trip to hong kong, I taking airport pickup to go to hotel. Have too cos, I going there with family and my wife is pregnant, don't want them to stay at airport so long... I reach there night time already.

Cos is HKD350 for airport pickup... not cheap but this is for my family.

Just back to KL (24hours ago).

For Muslim friend... there is a lots of halal restaurant around Kowloon. Just prepare the money cos it's more expensive but worth to eat. Every day I eat rice there. They even can delivery at no extra changes. I have some menu and addresses. I will update on my own blog soon.

HKD increasing? almost RM40 = HKD100
*
On XE site
100.00 HKD =39.6270 MYR
1 HKD = 0.396270 MYR
1 MYR = 2.52354 HKD

Maybank rates:
100 Hongkong Dollar Selling 40.65 Buying 38.32

BNM rates
100 Hong Kong Dollar Buying 39.5781[2.5239] Selling 39.6208[2.5267]

Anyone have problem getting HKD? I have some... want to sell..
