my flight from penang to hk reach at 7.25pm..
thinking of spending the 1st day at macau..
so i got 2 options here..

1st: after check out from airport straight away take ferry to macau (but i'm not sure tht we able to make it or not)
2nd: book a hotel nearby the terminal ferry, spend 1 night over there then the early morning straight take ferry to macau..

which 1 is better??

which hotel will be cheaper, macau or hk hotel nearby the ferry terminal? for sure you can make it as the last ferry is at midnight, but depends on what you want to do that night. You plan to walk around or just take a rest at hotel?

Hiah home sweet home... Went last minute shopping at citygate b4 flying back... Total damage 1.5k Hkd lol....

Food is freaking expensive in Hk.. If u planning to allocate Hkd50 per pax for normal food definitely not enough..

I went Yung Kee coz it's in central. Meet up some frens and suppose go drinking in lkf. I think it's ladies nite and it's jam packed with ppl so went TST instead. The service super good la... Waiter to help press lift then direct to the table.

Come talk to you and reserve goose for us coz worried later finish coz we still waiting for my frens..

haha, definitely not the same service i had when i was there.....well, if you go drinking in LKF on fridays and saturdays, it's generally packed...try coming here during Halloween or Christmas, it'll be packed till you can't move!

but to be honest though, i somehow feel that even though the food in HK is expensive, but you are getting for what it's worth....their wonton is huge, and the shrimps in there are at least like a whole piece in there, unlike back in KL xD, and the last time i went back to KL, things aren't really as cheap as it seems right now....

I went Lin heung instead of Tim ho wan coz want to experience the Hk tea house style...

Kind of regret... For those can't tolerate rude waiter and self service please don't go Lin heung.

The dim sum cart was never near to my table and I have to walk all the way to take dimsum with one hand with the dim sum card and the other with few basket of dim sums. So packed so hard to walk, the waiter will just push u away if u ever block their way not even able to just wait few seconds...

4 basket of dim sum, 1 basket of bao and 1 Chee cheong fun = hkd120 rofl...

Hahaha... For wonton mee, I tried maks noodle at Jordan.

Agreed that the wonton and dumpling is big and nice.

Mee wise, the broth is good but the mee is just so so. Maybe I like thicker version of our mee.. More feeling...

2 wonton mee + 1 bowl of dumpling = hkd90

nah, a meal here costs between HKD 40~60, if you go to some other restaurants, then maybe HKD 100~150. Allocate around HKD 250 to 350 per day for food, it should be more than enough.

just one advice.. if you looking for cheap2 things, go to ladies market.. as far as i know, it is the best market i ever been after go to temple street and stanley market.. but make sure you go early when they start open the business. if im not mistaken i go there at 3 o'clock. if you go around 6pm-8pm like i did on my second trip, you wont bargain much..

Do agree that ladies market would be the best.

Normally you can get cheap thirst, stuff like card games, toys and some china made tools. Also got lots f hand phone covers, fake designer bags..

Ladies can be done together with sneaker street for those looking for shoes. As well as walking around mongkok streets. Walk till end of ladies street will reach dundas street where there are looks of street snacks like octopus, bubble tea, curry fish ball, beef brisket and pork spare parks...

Can ask the security guard for ding ding agency. Building is located along the main road of mongkok. Not hard to find.
