Bought tickets to HK for April-May 2013. Wondering if I should start booking for accommodation now.

do a lil research and see if u like to stay in kowloon island or hong kong island.

also plan your schedule and see where u will be the most. its also good to stay at a place u frequent the most. Easy for u go back hotel, take a rest or bath.

Thanks for the information! My bf and I will be spending a week in HK, so we planned to visit Macau and Shenzhen as well. We're looking for a budget guest house as we will be out most of the time, so we just need a room to sleep in at night.

Will be going there in Dec this year Hope the weather will be just nice the MTR trip to Shenzhen will take about 45min+-. For accomodation I recommend Dragon Hostel in Mongkok (affordable + excellent service + free wifi)

december will be nice, more chilling.. but bad thing is peak season and it will be packed with ppl.

i went on weekdays summore off peak seaason, its already alot of people.

Mind to share with me the ticket price u guys bought?

I bought it for RM398/person inclusive of airport tax, fees, fuel surcharge and check-in baggage during the Air Asia sales in May this year.

is rm398 a return trip price?

I also bought ticket to hong kong for march 2013, during school holiday. Only manage to get seat fare of rm187 for both kl-hk and hk-kl trip. Roughly, around 563 per person after adding all other charges. and I didn't bought this ticket during the yesterday's sale. I bought it a month earlier. If I buy it during during the zero fare sales yesterday night for the same date, the ticket is actually 3 times more expensive. I checked the price at 12.30am, on the night the zero fare sales started. LOL. what an irony..

Yup RM398/person for a return trip, which I think is very cheap considering I booked at 2.00am during the sales in May instead of 12.00am when the sales started. I checked last night and found the tickets to Hong Kong to be around twice the price that I booked, but return tickets to Macau is around RM400/person inclusive of airport tax, fees, fuel surcharge and check-in baggage.

I got RM400 per person return flight from the sale last night excluding luggage.

Just book Airasia to Hong Kong on end of May 2013 with family 7 adult 2 kids. 7D6N stay in Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Can anyone help to give some idea whether is better take the ground tour package or free & easy? Did anyone have the itinerary sample for my reference and accommodation? Thank you

Haha...reminds me of my trip in late July, landed the day after Typhoon Vicente passed by. Needless to say, it rained....a lot.

My total for 7 days was HKD$ 2500++ (don't really remember the exact amount )
