Hi guys,

I am going to HK on 25 April to 2 May and I am now started to think of my accomodation.

In order to get a better deal, it is advisable to:

1. book the thru online (booking, pagoda, etc); or

2. buy hotel packages from the upcoming Matta fair in March 16-18.

Appreciate if you guys could advise smile.gif

Survey thru those online website and see how much they offer

Then go Matta Fair survey, atleast u know what's the real deal then.

However, worth going thru so much hassle? biggrin.gif

Welcome to Hong Kong smile.gif

I am sorry as I never stay in hostel/hotel in Hong Kong, so I have no idea if it is good for family to stay.

However, the location is unbeatable for sure and you should be easy to travel around ... hope you will have pleasant time in here

Roasted Goose,

You guys prefer Yue Kee (Sam Thseng) or Yung Kee (Central)? I know central one is more expensive, how about the taste?

if wanna go sam thseng, what's the best way to go? lets say i goin from Yau Ma Tei..
Approx. need how long?

This Fei Jei Snacks operates from what time till what time? coz i going Mongkok around late afternoon but scared its not available yet. Anyone can confirm or went around late afternoon?

if not mistaken there's other snacks around the road rite? like stinky tofu etc etc.

Sham Tseng in Hong Kong? From Yau Ma Tei, there is no bus to go there but if you have luck to find red roof mini bus to Yuen Long, then you can drop in Sham Tseng.

Or you walk a little bit further to Mongkok, take bus 52X and drop in Sham Tseng ...

Regarding Fei Jei Snack ... I have learnt so much about food in Hong Kong by reading this forum as I never tried them before smile.gif Don't get me wrong, they have no problem but when I am in hometown, I don't have adventure as much as during my travel time.

This kind of snack shop should be open till to like 9-10pm ... I believe

Hope you would enjoy your stay in Hong Kong smile.gif

*
yes, you still can able to get to Giant Buddha & Ngong Ping Market by taking bus in Tung Chung!

I have been to Yung Kee (Central) twice in year 2008 and year 2010.
Their food quality still maintain as the same even i went there in different timing.
Yung Kee is one star Michelin but i still think the price is reasonable.

3 century eggs + 1 例牌 portion Roasted goose + 1 char siew + 1 vege + 6 rice + desserts + tea = bill HKD 600++ and shared by 6 people

one ppl around rm40 after conversion

Hi ... I am from Hong Kong smile.gif

Panda Hotel is bit far away from MTR both Tsuen Wan (normal walking pace 15-20 mins) or Tai Wo Hau (10 mins) ... you can ask people to direct you to MTR ...

Please let me know if you have any question as I work nearby this hotel ...

hi all,

im planning to go to HK in May which is the Spring season.

Read online saying that it can be quite humid with occasional heavy downpours...feeling kinda worried upon knowing this. Is it still a good month to travel there?

Nationals of most countries do not require visas and can stay for periods varying from 7 days to 180 days, depending on nationality. If unsure of status, check with any Chinese embassy or consulate. Please check the details about visa requirements on Immigration Department's website.

I check online and most of the hotel in Hong Kong is above RM1000 per night. So far the cheapest I found was RM600+. Anyone below RM200? Not need to be 3~4 star but definitely not those motel. As long as room is clean and secure.
