There are predictions on the Note 2, but no news yet, everybody assumes Samsung would come out with the killer Note 2 since the Note itself is a huge success..

It is always advisable to update to eliminate bugs & problems from the previous ROMs. If you are a G version, some of my friends reported that after update the battery drain issue is gone/lessen...
