MY QUESTION :-
Anyone know of a good commercial proxy that supports torrents? I tried google search but cant seem to find any. I dont mind paying, as long as my speed is constant (roller coaster effect is ok to me though). I'm getting bored of recycling proxies, and exhausted the list on xproxy alredy, I think sooner or later I will not be able to get any speed off the list there.
Perhaps you can try subscribing to their Elite user groups? I think it has some proxies not available to the public. Maybe it will last longer and faster?

AFAIK, There are no good free proxies can be used for BT downloading.

Even if u find one, chances are they'll shut it down within days, or the speed very inconsistent.

If your connection to international sites is already bad, then there is no point using international proxies. The proxy I am using is Malaysian and good enough for browsing and direct downloads BUT not BT. However, my BT can sometimes hit 90kB/s if they are a lot of local seeds. Only once in a blue moon can I get quite high DL rate from international seed.

Direct downloads using DAP8 can usually hit 100kB/s so for the time being I'm quite "happy" with it.

Correct me if I'm wrong please.

Browse the following site for more interesting reading:

Not sure whether it works or not.

dear all, when i use the proxy in the browser, the streaming video prompt me for network password. If i remove the proxy, it will not enquire the password but the speed and video is lagging. Pls advice. I am using cdn-jrc-c6100-01 port:3128.

The proxy must have not wanted the users to suck their bandwidth through video streaming or large downloads.

It does check on the spot but checks the proxy from OUTSIDE Malaysia and it seems to be dead. However I can use it quite well from INSIDE Malaysia.

Good for you if it works for you.

For that I think you need to ask the owner of the proxy.

I have surfed around for any good working proxies and the one that you mentioned is the only reliable one for me. Other than that, the rest seems to be really slow.

I'm not sure about setting proxy in modem/router. I set mine in the browser e.g. Firefox, Opera, etc...

I don't think you can set it in the modem/router. Correct me if I'm wrong.

When you check proxy; it is from international site to Malaysian proxy. That is why most of the time it seems that it is down. If you are in Malaysia, then the best proxy is of course Malaysian proxy.

The proxy I'm using now (219.93.175.68:3128) seems okay so far for me.
