For non-confidential matters, using a proxy server is harmless.
In general it's not advisable to login to Yahoo/Gmail/Maybank2u through a public proxy.

Guys,
Over the weekend I found some open TMnut proxies for HTTP. I tested on some US sites, i dun think speed is very impressive but better than direct connection (for non-Asian websites). However it works fine for Internet Radio. 219.93..100 219.93..101 219.93..102 219.93..103 219.93..104 219.93..105 219.93..106 219.93..107 219.93..108 219.93..109 219.93..110 Port = 553 or 554 (both can) This post has been edited by socratesman: Aug 7 2006, 02:01 PM |

I tried during the weekend with 219.93.175.68:3128
the speed is quite solid, many sites getting 100 KB/s http download my ping time to the proxy is around 120-160 ms |

AFAIK, There are no good free proxies can be used for BT downloading.
Even if u find one, chances are they'll shut it down within days, or the speed very inconsistent. |

TM's 219.93.175.66 and 219.93.178.162 proxies are always an on/off affair. Sometimes they close , then re-open and close again. I give up lol
