My admission to Master Study without thesis to UPM has been approved and I have received the offer letter on 11/04/2013 but will register only in end August 2013.

Can I apply now or wait until i register first?

My Brain 15 forms asked for Student Card No., if do not register, i can not get the number, did anyone here applied and success prior to register?

Also, what ii No. Kad JKM?

When i printed out Borang Pengesahan Maklumat Pemohon, it was dated 1 Jan 1970, is it OK?

You might want to confirm the recent requirement that only students who have accepted the offer from their universities and registered at the respective universities are allowed to apply for MyBrain.

I'm not sure about the current policy of the application. But last time I applied with the offer letter only and without registration to uni. Didn't put my card no. (even though I got it) in the online application.

But now it seems like the application is harder.

You applied without the card no. and eventually obtained the offer?

If i apply now, rejected say within 3 months, after 3 months can i re apply again?

I have 5 months buffer before September 2013.

I got card no. in the uni offer letter but I did not put the card no in the online application. Yes I got the mybrain offer.

But it was a year ago. Maybe the changed the application policy. Last time only need to fill in employer detail by our own, but I see right now the employer need to personally fill the form, sign and stamp it.

I dunno how long the period you can reapply again. Better call them.

Guys, who is your referee? I don't have any idea to who should I get the signature. Im afraid to put my ketua kampung. My ex lecturer? Oh my god. Who knows me for 3 years other than my own family?

Your friend can be your referee.

Yes, put in your ex-lecturers. Who say they have to know you for 3 years?

Try picking the ones you're closer or more familiar with, e.g. your final year project supervisor. Also, you can put in a pegawai uni too, e.g. someone whom you had to deal a lot for your uni/club/activities/organising project etc.

Just do some google on how to ask for a reference.

I believe he is referring to the referee to be put in the Borang Pengesahan Maklumat, not the witness in the Perjanjian.

The referee must know the applicant for at least three years and it can be anyone (including friends), not necessarily a Pengawai Kerajaan (Gred 41 & ke atas).

But of course, to take someone credible like an ex-lecturer to be your referee would be better.

Ah ok, it's been quite a long time since I applied for this, back when it was known as NSF.

Well, considering that you did a bachelor's degree (which is usually 3 years), then you can probably ask a lecturer or pegawai in the office to do it for you.

anyone face problems on uploading transcipt and certificate? after compressing my transcipt and certificates according to the instruction given in mybrain15 website the size is still over 280kb (365kb). May i know what should i do? @@

If i upload original documents, do i need to get signature from Pengawai (or Gr 41 or above)?

When i scan i only use 300dpi, thus most of the document is under 300kb. i used cutepdf driver to output pdf format. It is a good software where it will be around 150kb once created depend on the resolution of your image.

For online purpose, I do not get signature or witness or "saksi" or approval of Pegawai(Gred 41 above. After 2 months of application, Mybrain15 request for original copy of paperwork. My advice to you is to get the Adobe Acrobat (not Adobe Reader) and you can manipulate the size of the file.

Open the file, then...
Go to Document > Optimized Scanned PDF.

Then, you just play around with Background Removal and Edge Shadow Removal to your liking.

You can still maintain the quality of the scanned file and the sharpness of the fonts while reducing its size tremendously.

I just got an offer from UPM on Master of Human Resource Development. I am confused since it is under Educational Studies Faculty, can I still apply for MyMaster?

It's best that you call up MyBrain and ask them personally.

Anyway, Master of HRD is not a course in the education field. So, you should be eligible to apply.

It's hard to say since their policy keeps changing from year to year. Like what Blofeld said, directly give them a call. Don't bother emailing them or leaving feedbacks in their website. They won't respond.

Yes, I guess I have to call them. Thanks though. I know it should not be under the education field. But in the offer letter, it stated that the faculty is faculty of educational studies.
