Hey guys, just want to know opinions about this note. I own a samsung captivate for awhile and I loved it! Anyway this note kind of caught my attention and I just want to know whether it is good enough for me.

Well 2 or 3 questions here,

Is this note is good for video playback? I love movies and I do watch movies on my captivate from time to time but it is kind of small and like i said, note caught my attention. So basically I want to know, can this note plays mkv video format? I mean those 720p movies? Is it smooth?

Secondly in terms of browsing, I know the browsing is good on note based on the reviews on the internet, but I want to know how is the browsing experience when you have a lot of apps and data on your note? Based on my experience on my captivate, it is smooth at first but then it gets a little laggy after awhile, even with flash is on demand or off.

Im not so concern about the battery life as I can deal with it, anyway how about glass resistance? As far as I know, it is not gorilla glass as there is no official confirmation from samsung though few people claimed it to be. Anyway how is the overall smoothness of the phone after been using it for awhile? Would be nice if i get answers from users with many apps and thousands of messages on the note.

My sgn packet data always ON even i edi untick it.
I m using DIGI.The background data is already untick but packet data somehow ON itself.
I ve check task manager didnt found any active apps on my phone..
Any idea..need help

did you installed somekind like the battery saver app? this app will auto activate the packet data..

Omg..things get worst..
After shinzan had  reply,i try close my wifi signal,untick packect data n background data..believe it could be the reason..
But just now after 1hour then open back found d packet data got tick again itself..there goes same with my credit until 0...sigh..
All apps should not xtive rite since i check at task manager none is active..
Dilemma..

Tested JBroid version of LA6 - has been on it past 4 hours . Excellent rom, comparable to Substancer LA4 and Rocket V21 but without those fancy tweaks to UI. As similar to Rocket V21 - temperature is much cooler than stock LA4. With phone being charged for past 2 hours it remains at 32-33 degree C only. UI is very smooth - and rom is tweaked further by developer script , he called it JBroid engine
I installed it right on top of Substancer LA4 without any wipe

The jBroid Engine works on the functions listed below: I quote

Hi all, i'm in the midst of deciding whether to get a SGN to replace my s1.. i had big problem with s1 as the phone always hang and lag although i'd rooted it before.. does sgn having similar problem as well?

read version 1(V1) until version 7 (V7) then decide. No point asking if u dont read all the version.

Majority of people here never encounter hang and lag before IF you know what you are doing and know how to root.

Just follow the tutorial below:

Long story, short: Flash to early firmware+root with mobileOdin on PC. And delete your mobileODIN. Then flash to any stock/custom ROM you wish with CWM on your rooted Note.

for myself
lag = when i run tooooooooooooooo many apps but i didnt close properly. solution, logout properly
hang = my note is 1mth old plus, only hang once after i run gps navigation. solution, maybe something wrong with the  gps i using, i just reinstall it, problem solved.
