lol.. nice2..
yes.. ICSSGS RC4.2 is table for daily use.. and for ur information, i'm also a person who only use the stable ROM for my daily use.. coz i always use my phone for call, sms, fb, whatsapp, read news, view football news/result, capture pic, email apps and so on.. so i would recommend u this ROM + semaphore kernel.. coz i never use the stock kernel since 1st day use this rom so dunno the performance of it stock kernel..

btw.. referring to Crossover, he already tried both ICSSGS & Team Hacksung.. and he said Team Hacksung more better in term of performance.. i nvr try yet THS.. smile.gif
*
Thank you very much for the input. Somehow, i more prefer stability more than performance.
i think i will try ICSSGS if i got free time in this weekend. Would like to hear more about THS on it's stability since Crossover said that THS is much better in term of performance. smile.gif

the overheat is too much. i wana change ROM soon.

easily the phone temp can go damn high within 15-20 mins of usage

I agree with this. Gamerzrom 6.3 really heats up very fast. However from the previous versions (6.0 and 6.2) there weren't any problems with overheating. =/

Yeah. Was playing Drag Racing earlier.. Felt like I was holding a hot pan after about 20 minutes. ==

How are the new ICS builds? From what I read, ICSSGS seems really good although I can't make up my mind between this and Hacksung's version.

Stable and smooth eh? Sounds interesting enough.. But here's the big question, is it worth it to change from gamerzrom to ICSSGS? =)

edit: I read that I have to flash a suitable kernel? Semaphore kernel if I'm not mistaken?

gajahwhite,

I'm actually on Gamerzrom now. (Actually so far so good lah...) hmm.gif
Do you recommended me to go for ICSSGS RC4.2?
Seems like everyone is on ICS.
Just like you I prefer to use the stable rom, smooth, and suitable for daily use only.

Any comment on this? sweat.gif

Okay. So if I flash over to ICSSGS, I need to do it in CWM? Odin isn't required or mentioned at all in the ICSSGS page. Oh and, is the low storage messages frequent? I sms very heavily and I simply cannot be bothered to delete my messages.

You can try Rockplayer as well. These 2 players rocks biggrin.gif Just flashed, haven't install back my apps. So I left it with WiFi on then went to sleep last night, only drained from 81-79% (fresh install)

Me too, I prefer a stable and smooth rom, don't wanna keep charging it (too lazy) tongue.gif For ICS, you have quite a few alternatives - TeamHacksung, ICSSGS, Codename Android, AOKP, Slim ICS, Dark Knight. The more notable ones are THS and ICSSGS. First look seems ok with it since last time I flashed smile.gif

EDIT: THERE'S ONE THING I NEED TO ADD. THE USB TRANSFER SPEED IS UNBEARABLE!! only 1MB cry.gif

Yeah, no Odin for AOSP roms. Hmm, set autodelete sms??

Messaging can be set either want to auto-delete or not as usual.

To flash to ICS, safe way is use odin to flash back to stock gingerbread (JV recommended) than flash the ICS via CWM. And yes i choose semaphore kernel to make the ICS flying smile.gif

About the USB transfer, i didn't check the speed but i feel normal during transfer picture, music, & apk file.

And for ICSSGS RC4.2, yes its a stable rom. Suitable for daily use (sms, call, capture pic, whatsapp, FB, browsing, games). And also have a good battery life, 12h? 15h? 17h? thats normal already for me with this rom. Easy to say, just need charge 1 times/day. Btw, the stock browser also good already no need to install opera or else. So if you guys ask me, yes i would recommend this ROM for daily use. But if u guys not satisfied with me, dont blame me coz maybe we got diff point happy.gif

ICGSS? or ICSSGS RC4.2 or got another one name similar ICSGS2 V3.0..
for ur information, i never use ICSSGS stock kernel coz right after flash the rom, i run the rom, and then reboot back to cwm and directly flash to semaphore kernel.

not so sure with ur pic, but try see how long ur phone can stand. smile.gif
