Any sifu out here mind share with me?

Currently my ext HDD. got sound which is "ticking sound".

1. Can I fix it?
2. Or I just buy a new unit?

3. Would the data inside it gone missing?

i had a hdd that had ticking sound... and it worked for another 5 yrs. so it's pure luck.
however, u should have a backup habit, regardless the condition of your hdd.

Start backing up and get a replacement ready.

I had that issue for a few HDD and they went bad very quickly.

Even if the warranty is still effective, RMA will take at least one month or more.

Hi everyone. Just a quickie. What's the average price for a 1TB and 2TB 2.5" HDD these days? Preferably the brand of Seagate. I'm looking for an upgrade for my PS4.

Thank you.

Around RM200 to RM300, you can download the price list from C-Zone.

Suggest you go for a SSD instead as it will make your PS4 load faster.

Nice as it fits on the estimated price range. I think there's not much significant difference for PS4 to utilise an SSD as it's not erm...optimised in such hardware?

However, I wouldn't mind getting an SSD for my laptop/desktop instead. I makes a world difference. laugh.gif As for PS4, good 'ol HDD will do.

Thanks for the heads up. Much appreciated.

Seems like one of my 6TB hdd is failing quite rapidly.

Plan to backup as soon as possible and replace it for the time being.

Can I send my HDD for RMA if it is making loud noises during loading?

OT means more money. thumbsup.gif

More money to buy storage.

I am planning to put some of my frequently play AAA games on to the SSD.

I think more of not enough time to enjoy what you have bought.

Quite easy to spend money these days, just buy online and the goods will be delivered. Spending time to enjoy the goods is another challenge.
