LOL. So... Now i'm using Option 5. The launcher is in Group 0? Possible to make even launcher get killed?  blush.gif
*
by default, launcher is no group 0, it will only become 0 when u select say, "Bulletproof launcher". delete "ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=0" in /system/build.prop will set it back to normal, thus, killable. for that matter, if u want it to get killed easiest, just increase the adj value.

this is the control u have without using the script biggrin.gif

ps: if you have twlauncher (which eat RAM!) selecting bulletproof is not a good choice LOL

Option 5. U using cow's rom?
*
Yup.... i'm using cow OC rom but run at 1.4Ghz.
Only will OC it if required. my hardware cannot support 1.8Ghz as it will lag then hang then reboot then FC. Tried 3 times already and result is still the same. Also tried 1.7Ghz once so far no problem yet. due to working so i set it back to 1.4Ghz as can't afford to have problem while working.

i have hard-coded the value in init.rc (which will automatically revert back to my value every reboot).

but v6 should be able to fix this. i m not sure why v6 didn't work.

how about you try to use this newer v6? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...18#post18703418

lastly, you can manually change that by:

echo "1536,3072,19200,23040,24320,32000" > /sys/module/lowmemorykiller/parameters/minfree

the value is for option 6 of the new v6. it's not permanent. to make it permanent, put this into /system/etc/init.qcom.post_boot.sh

if u use that value, u also should adjust the adj as well:

echo "0,1,2,3,4,15" > /sys/module/lowmemorykiller/parameters/oom_adj

Follow the recovery method. Download the update.zip file and copy into USB Storage(Internal SD). Boot into recovery and directly apply the update. Upon pressing the apply update and chosen the file, it takes only 5s or so. Then you reboot your phone. Done!

hehe...

Guys... I rooted my phone, at first downclock to 1GHz, smooth. Now downclock to 800MHz with min frequency set to 125MHz. Still running smooth. Scrolling, gaming(where's my water, angry bird...) no lag at all. But I applied V6 Supercharger script. May that be the difference? Still stock TWLAUNCHER with STOCK 2.3.6ROM.

I've rooted it already ! I know it's just the beginning but what are roms? Are roms like firmware? I would want to try Cow's rom as i am interested in the battery life, killing off services and the RAM.

Because, Samsung didn't even bother to put:

USB high speed host controller based on EHCI (a register interface)
Full/low speed host controller based on OHCI (another register interface)
USB device controller, supporting both high and full speeds
Fourth controller to switch the OTG root port between host and device controllers.
